May 28, 2009 Best asian english album of the yearI was extremely pleased when i first heard Utada's This Is The One new english album. Its so much different from her debut english album, Exodus. Exodus was overly artistic in the music sense but This Is The One is so R&B and its the style of the music market now.
Songs that i truely love and adore is:
1. Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, FYI (The best song on the album. The music is so addictive...its so Utada
style!!)- 10/10
2. Come Back To Me (A very strong ballad)- 10/10
3. This One (Crying like a child)- another strong ballad- 10/10
4. Poppin'- i Love how sexy the lyrics is and how stupid the music sounds like..i just love this kind of melody -

5. Dirty Desire- another same kind of music with Poppin'. Simply adores it!- 9/10
6. On & On- a party song that is super addictive. Love the part where she sang ''honey if ur gay pump it up like
a gay parade..."-9/10
7. Automatic II- at first its not really musically nice but after a few times of listenin to it..it grows.. -8/10
8. Taking my money back- not anywhere near to my likings but over all is ok...-6/10
9. Apple & Cinnamon- abit too boring for me. The music arrangements to me sounded kinda boring...-7/10
10. Me Muero- never like this song from the start...-4/10
Basically i personally feel that this album is one of the best an asian singer has ever released. Her english pronounciation is very very good as well..Its really really good and up to the standard. This could be the album that will leave an impression in the western music world of a great asian singer singing in the western language.. An applaud to Utada for her great work...
I disagree with someone here saying that Boa's english album is much better.. I personally find Boa's style boring and too repetitive...My recommendation...go for UTADA's!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

April 17, 2008 Mirrorcle World!!I just got both Version A & C of Mirrorcle World yesterday. I couldn't wait to get it and finally it came!! I simply love the cover of this new single..It has got to be the best ever!!
I have been an Ayu fan since like few yrs back..collecting all her cds,dvds and singles..she is totally amazing!!
Mirror was a great intro in Guilty and i really didnt expect her to release it as a full song!
i watched the video of Mirrorcle World before i listen to the cd yesterday night..it blew me off immediately!!Wonderful video!!Shot in Paris..and as usual she is sooooooooooooo pretty...i was thinkin..is Mirrorcle World gonna be a total different song from Mirror or is it just the same? Well,its actually is the same tune with Mirror but extended into a full song with bridge..Simply love it...especially the part where she oooo aaaa..i am surprised she has so mny fans in Paris as well!!and she speaks good Eng too!!
I read from above..yes i agree she tries to be sexy..wat to do..she just wanna show to the world she has her side as a woman as well..its not tooooo trashy like Koda Kumi..Kumi is totally a trash cheap where as Ayu keeps it decent..
Life & the rerecorded version of You and depend on You is veri veri nice as well!!you should get both version A & C if ur a true fan..add it to ur collection..

Well,i enjoyed & love dis video and song veri veri muc...its gotta be the best (in my opinion)video ever. Would like to comment on all her PV's..she's definitely good in makin PV's! all of Ayu's PVS are really good and original..most of all...she looks good in all of them too.. Alterna is a good song too..jus the same rockish Ayu...can't wait for her new album though...hopefully its a cd + dvd package jus like d las album.
well, for those who have not buy dis cd single...its time for u to get up and get out n get it cause its reali nice and worth ur money...
