February 12, 2003 Sad storyThe movie lighting engineer needs more work when you see more dark screen over 40% of the movie.
The sad story is the old Chinese culture 50 years ago. I pray for the women to have better days since then.

February 12, 2003 Good insight of China VillageIf you did not visit deep in China. The movie gives you a good insight of the village and the real life of farmers. The normal daily event and true meaning of village culture. The producer and director gave a good understanding of the farmers.

If you are under age 30 1st generation overseas, you won't know the feeling. If you are 30-60 1st generation overseas; it will give you the feeling of generation gap with the 2nd generation. Recommend to share this move with your 2nd generation for the love of in Chinese tradition, culture and homeland.
