A major disappointment Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
"All About Love" is one of the most contrived and manipulative movies I've ever seen. Andy Lau, Charlie Yeung, and Charlene Choi do the best they can with their respective roles, but they are at the mercy of a story that simply is unbelievable.

Here's the story in a nutshell: Andy Lau plays a doctor who is too busy to share much time with the wife he loves, played by Charlene Choi. He is crushed when his wife dies as a result of an auto accident and he realizes that he never will be able to give her the attention she deserved.

His wife's heart is transplanted into the body of Charlie Yeung, a teacher married to a busy fashion designer (also played by Andy), whom she suspects is unfaithful. After a falling out, her husband takes a job in Japan and Charlie is left alone in Hong Kong.

She gets into an auto accident and, as a consequence, Andy (the doctor) learns that she was the recipient of his wife's heart. He follows her, sees her loneliness, and learns that he is her husband's doppelganger. Not only does he look just like her husband, astonishingly she can't tell the difference between their voices when he calls her on the phone (this absurdly unrealistic twist is where the movie really lost me).

Andy (the doctor) learns that Charlie's body is beginning to reject his wife's heart, so he decides to impersonate her fashion designer husband and spend full-time taking care of her. Will his love and attention bring her back to health?

If you can buy into this storyline, then you might enjoy this sappy soaper. For me, the film seemed interminable. I cannot recommend it.

Perfect Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I have seen same korean story but the acting and the cast is something extraordinary. The setting and how they did the connection is touching. The whole movie is brilliant.

While watching the film you will fall in love over and over again. A movie that will touch you heart and make you cry. A film worth buying!!!

A Must-See Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Okay maybe you won't like the story and think it's stupid. But i do and not only that but the whole film is shot really well. I really like the techniques used and editing done, i partically love the music, it was used VERY WELL in this film. I was slightly worried before watching this that it wouldn't be very good, maybe i would be expecting too much? i didn't want it to be a bad film i didn't want to not like it. I've wanted to see it for a while now (2 yrs to be exact) but never got round to it, finally when i have it's just brilliant, it hasn't dissapointed me at all. It is simple, realistic (to a point...) and just a great film to watch.

I don't know why ... Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
First of all, I've purchased this DVD because it wasn't only I'm Andy Lau fan, but also I've heard that many people said it's good. Well, yes, just like people or even Andy himself said that the audiences are going to cry, and I did cry, however! I don't think this movie is that good... The whole story is kinda cheesy for me. Because the doctor whom Andy acted missed his wife's passing just because he slipped and hit his head!? That's kinda cheesy and stupid!! Plus, the other woman who had heart transplant and just because she has this doctor's wife's heart, and he himself looks like this woman's husband, he is going to pretend this guy and spent time with her!? Of course, at the end, her real husband came, but...man, if I were her, I would not stay with someone whom I don't know even though he looks like my husband, because after all, he isn't my husband. The reason why I gave 3 stars just because I like Andy, and his little magic was neat, plus I did cried, but later, think back again, and said " Wait for minute!? That's kinda strange!" So over all, this is the stupiest story I ever seen before!

Cute Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
A good movie to watch with the missus.
I found the story interesting, but a little too slow moving (maybe cos i'm a guy).
I liked Andy's double role in this film. His acting was brill. Charlene was alright, but seemed a little too young to be Andy's wife ( her cute/sweet voice totally gives it away). Charlie's crying and dying scenes were very touching.
Overall, very worth checkin out.

Andy's best Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I think this is Andy Lau's best performance since Infernal Affair. The story is simple, not much different then other love stories, but the performance of all the actors and actress are SUPER.

Not so impressed Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
I was rather disappointed with this movie. Charlene did not have that much part in it. Also, the story line was rather boring. What is it with all of the special effects in a drama/romance movie? It is unnecessary and waste of time. It seems like Andy's acting is getting worse. Perhaps my hopes were too high.

Have you watched it yet? Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
"All About Love" is a very beautiful movie. All the actors and actresses acted very well. The cinematography is excellent. The ending is very touching. Another meaningful movie that conveys a message to all to "Cherish the people you love." "Don't wait!" "Show it and say it!"
