i have to say though that her voice IS incredible, however her songs need a new beat...they all have this similar tempo or fast rhythm. its getting to the point where they are just boring or annoying. i hope these new songs in her new album will be revolutionary...you know?
her fans are expecting too much from her and those not for Boa are immediately downcasting her. you have to think about where she is coming from, she's a teenager, expected to be a role model for every korean/japanese fan there is...model, meaning perfect...but no one is perfect, she does have her flaws. as a popular singer, i don't see how she cannot not be mean/conceited the way she is now. thats just the way society turned her out to be. *shrugs*Did you find this review helpful? June 23, 2002 A Wonderful Piece
I was inspired by their song 'Best Friend' from the rama Hatachi no kennon. That is how I heard about them. There is no doubt about getting this album. Absolutely magnificent. If you enjoy Best Friend, you'll be pleased with their other tracks. The piano sets the tone, blending melodiously with the voice. I enjoy it very much and have no regret buying this CD. June 23, 2002 Ehh not impressed
Well, I wasn't very much impressed with what Kuraki has done to start herself off with an English album. Usually Artists need to make a great start...but I wasn't satisfied with her voice talents here. She has a sensational voice overall -- but i really think she should work on her english a bit. It has a set back and tranquil mood that you can pretty much listen to anytime. Its wonderful. The opening song is a great way to start the album following the next track. The cover is shiny and it really does make it a ocean-type feel. The music is very satisfying for a R&B fan. I highly recommend this album to any of you who are considering buying this one. It is a remarkable album. Her talents are wonderful in this cd. As for the cover, I think it is truly creative and cute, considering it was comprised into a little booklet a little less than 1/2 an inch width. I have no problem with how the cd is place [it is slipped into a slot on the back of the booklet].
