This movie is all about -- Amelie. A character, whos very cute, charming. Who care about the others, who gain happiness when see others happy. Script, Director and Cinematographer are excellent. The entire movie give audience the feel of fairy tale and documentary. It's a very inventive film!

This is a really really really good...no it should be...excellent film. I fell in love with it the first time I watched it. It is a very sweet, romantic and slightly funny film. Audrey Tautou is a brilliant actress, she depicts the character so well, and Mathieu Kassovitz is also very good. Two people who are total strangers, so close in society, but so alone, who share the same likeness finally get together in the end despite all the commotion. The really good thing about this film I believe is in the soundtrack, without it it would not be the same film, not as effective, the music is sweet so it makes the film pretty sweet. I remember after watching the film, the first thing I had to buy was the saoundtrack cos it is really that good. My favourite track has to be track 4, although it is quite melancholy, it leaves a very satisfying feel and very different kind of feeling from the rest of the album. The track has the sound which feels like raindrops to it, almost tinkle-ish. The rest of the album don't have the same likeness to this track, but they are all good tracks, some are quite solemn and melancholic, whilst the others are happy and joyful. Of course all of it comes from thetype of instruments used as well. This film really leaves someone feeling happy and hopeful, and what more to have the soundtrack with it...it is great to listen to on repeat and even better on random. A brilliant French film and really is recommended to buy and keep...a good deviation from violence and action flicks and some of those love movies from Hollywood. This one is different, there's a twist to it!!

Amelie is a masterpiece - Must SEE!!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The title says it all. It is rare for me to walk out of the cinema thinking I've just witnessed a film masterpiece. I don't use the word lightly. Amelie is one of the most imaginative, funny, compelling movies I've seen in years. For some reason it has been occasionally dismissed as so much fluff but truth be told it does deal with some important issues. Specifically, how all of our lives are interconnected and that we can have a profound effect on the people around us, even strangers. In a time when people feel more and more isolated from one another it is an important message.

This is the best film i've seen this year! It's hilarious, a comedy that is unique with its own style. I really think it should have won an oscar for best cinematography because its really artistic also. You should definitely watch this movie!!
