The Magic of Liang Yongqi
| AMOUR, the French word for love, opens with the heart-stopping track China?s MTV awarded as song of the year (2001) by a Hong Kong artist: ?Hua Huo? (Spark), composed by Gigi herself. Its delicate piano, soft vocals, and beautiful lyrics are immortalized in the glorious black and white video contained on the accompanying VCD, where Gigi?s genteel and striking image could cleanse the rust from off the most apathetic heart and draw tears from the most stoic of men. Other highlights include the album?s carefree title track, which comes with French accordion, shimmering tambourine, and strings in staccato; it is graceful and sweet. ?Ai Qing Hai? (Sea of Love) has a charming and very catchy melody with waves of deep poetry. Gigi sings this one extremely well. ?Ai Yao Jiayou? is a very happy song with Bobby McFerrin style backing vocals. Though a native of Hong Kong, Gigi?s Mandarin is first rate. I like Gigi, for her songs are, as always, healthy - encouraging people to enjoy life. Another Perfect Product from Gigi!!!/
| Track 1 is composed by Gigi. It's very touchable through the lyrics and her voice... and also she played piano in the song!!! Excellent!! 'Amour' is another good song, the rhythm touches everyone.... Track 7 and 10 are all so good that I can't say anything!!/ |
