It gets old fast Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
When I listened to this album for the first time, I was enthusiast, all the songs sounded catchy and R&B, my favourite style. Almost 1 year is passed by since the release and I don't listen to this album since months and instead I continue to listen to all her previous album regularly. I have the feeling that something misses, I still like all the songs (especially ''Hide & Seek'', ''Full Moon'', ''Top Secret'' and Hello'') but I don't feel any need to listen to it repetitively. In my opinion it should be better if she included ''White Light'' and ''Ningyo''.

Wow... Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I didn't know this album was this good.

I heard it from a friend today and was very surprised. I'm not a big namie amuro fan, but after hearing her new single (60s70s80s), I was interested in some of her work. The only cd i ever liked by her was STYLE and i liked the song called 'hello'.

This album is awesome. It has great beats and nice flow between the songs.

My favorite songs are: hello, Should I Love Him, top secret, and step with it ^_^

If i wasn't a namie amuro fan before, I am now. ^^() I'll probably be ordering this along with her new single (even though I'm a little late)

It's O.K. n_n'' Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
After hearing all the hustle-bustle over this album, I thought I'd give Namie a chance since I've always liked her but never made the step to buy a product of hers. I let this be my first thing to get, but I was let down. I really like "Baby Don't Cry", "Pink Key", "Should I Love Him?", and "Hide & Seek"...but as for the others...I'm not too crazy about!!! I'm sorry if this offends anyone! =( I'm just stating my oppinion.

I do agree the other songs are catchy too..but what else? I like for an album to offer everything - great music, catchy rythmn, brilliant vocals, and powerful lyrics. Most of this album had only the catchy part. The DVD is good too, but is missing energy. I think all dance songs should have hyped energy..don't u think?????? n_n'' The WORLD OF GOLDEN EGGS was HILARIOUS though!!! I'm happy I bought the CD+DVD just because of that. I laughed alot. Namie really has a sweet personality and a good sense of humor. I also like the "Baby Don't Cry" PV because its sweet & special. I just think the really good songs on this album should've had a PV instead of "FUNKY TOWN" and "Can't Eat, Can't Sleep, I'm Sick". "Hello" is okay though. It is very addictive.

Well, Namie isn't for everyone...but I wish her all the best! She's a beautiful girl with a precious heart at least. I'm happy to own this even if I'm not too crazy about it. I just don't really think I'll buy any of her other CDs in the future without listening first. I am gonna grab "Queen Of Hip Pop" CD though! hehehe! That album is really light-hearted & fun!!!!!

PLAY with Namie Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Honestly, I think this si good album, but it's not excelent. When I first listened it, I only loved Hide & Seek, Top Secret and Baby Don't Cry. Other were good, but they left me REALLY empty feeling..I think some songs don't really have emotion IMO. But I gave it still couple listens more...now I think this is really good album. Hello and Pink Key are nowdays also my favourites in PLAY. I highly recomend this if you want try Namie's music, PLAY is good but my favourite is still Break the rules

umm, not as good as last album Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
this album was pretty good, but the songs were too repetitive. she would say one line soo many times in one song, and the tunes were also repetitive. her last album, Queen of Hip Pop was fantastic! I give that album a 10. every song was different and creative. the tunes were soo catchy. Baby Don't Cry was a good song along with Pink Key and Violet Sauce in this album. still worth buying though

Excellent Return by Amuro Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Upon receiving Amuro Namie's new album, PLAY, I was not only excited, but pleased by the simple nature of the cover art. What's important, though, is what's inside. With the firstpress of the album, stickers are included that mimic the art used for the album's promotion.

The album includes Amuro's latest hit singles such as "Baby Don't Cry," "FUNKY TOWN," and "CAN'T SLEEP, CAN'T EAT, I'M SICK." The entire album picks up more of a J-urban beat than the album's predecessor, Queen of HipPop. Stand out tracks for the album: "Hide&Seek," "Step With It," "FUNKY TOWN," "Hello," "Violet Sauce (Spicy)," and "CAN'T SLEEP, CAN'T EAT, I'M SICK." For Amuro, this album gives her another flavor to add to the taste palettes of AMURAAS and other Namie fans alike.

"Play" - PLAYING it often! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I just received this CD the other day. I have always loved Namie because she was my first singer to introduce me to JPOP over a decade ago. I think this album is one of her best to date, and really showcases her growth as an artist. You can tell she is making her own choices as an artist, and is growing into herself. I am very impressed! I think everyone thought she was a has-been after poor sales with Genius 2000, and the other album after that...even though there were some solid tracks on each album, I think everyone had a certain expectation from Namie, and also felt she couldn't do well without TK's help. But she has a lot of natural talent, and I think being on her own is allowing herself to be creative. Although I really disliked the album "STYLE", I loved many tracks on "Queen of Hip Hop" album...and this album just rocks. I didn't LOVE it at first, but on a second and third listen, I instantly became addicted. My fave track is definitely "Cant sleep cant eat im sick", totally kicking and original! "Hide & Seek" is amazing too, but you have to see the video for the overall effect. "Funky Town" is good but could do without the sound effects. "Violet Sauce" is new and improved with the spicy rendition (I prefer it to the older one). A few songs took a little longer to grown on me, but they did. There is only one or two I dont really care for and I cannot remember which tracks!

Get this album with the DVD. The videos are great, and not corny like her older (much older) videos.

Namie's best work to date Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
"Play" is without a doubt, a fantastic follow up to "Queen of Hip-Pop" and one of Namie's best albums. It's a really fun album to listen to and all the tracks are catchy. This album sounds very fresh and is filled with pop, r&b, and rock sounds. "Hide and Seek", "Hello", "Step With It" and "Pinky Key" brings out the playful side of the album that "FUNKY TOWN" inspires. "Full Moon" and "Top Secret" bring out the sexy side of the album. "It's All About You" and "Violet Sauce (Spicy)" throws an unexpected rockish edge into the mix! "Should I Love Him" is the only slow paced song on the album that I did find a bit boring but does have it's positive elements to it. The singles are still a great listen which over all makes this album a must have this summer. I am very pleased with this album!

Oh yea namie does not look anywhere near 30. I asked my cousin how old she looks and he said around her 20s. She just doesnt have that 30 year old look for me. which is a goood thing. And i just love it when she dances! so talented.

Another amazing album ! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
After ''STYLE'' and ''Queen Of Hip-Pop'', Namie doesn't disappoint her fans and she is back with another wonderful album with all hip-pop and R&B tracks (and one ballad ...) ! I like overall ''Hide & Seek'', ''It's all about you'' and ''Hello''. However she should include ''White Light'' in this album because I like it ...
