Dazzling: Andy Lau Vision Tour 2004 ~ Andy Lau

This latest 30-plus-tunes album from Andy Lau has got the Canto-pop King's two concerts on September 12 and 13 included. The combo set comes not just with 3 CDs, but also a VCD, named Top Secret File, which features highlights of rehearsals and other behind-the-scenes stuff.

Beside the You Are My Pride Concert, which is of free admission, the 15-show Andy Lau Vision Tour 2004 has been Andy's first concert in three years.

Going to Andy's concerts has always been a luxurious enjoyment. His songs are definitely one of the concert's best parts, but it is the electrifying atmosphere and dazzling costume and visual effects which keep stunning everyone. Besides such various performance as tap dance, magic show, Cantonese opera etc., Andy also dressed up glamourously as a magician, a samurai and a Cantonese opera singer during the concert.

Zhao Zeng Xi took up the role of music director for this concert and quality is guaranteed. The mixture and arrangement of different types of music in the concert is satisfactory. The majority of songs in it are previous big hits and that should be even better for fans as all are household names. As for Andy's singing, he is brilliant in singing live.

Rock Medley (Disc1, Track#2), Immense Affection (Disc2, Track#6), Chinese (Disc2, Track#7) and the Chinese Opera Mix of Little Fool (Disc2, Track#10) are the songs Andy sang at the beginning of the concerts and they are just brilliant. Other pieces like Best Actor No Use (Disc3, Track#8), classic ballad Secretly Admire (Disc3, Track#9), the big concert hit The Time We Spent Together (Disc1, Track#8) and Love You 10000 Years (Disc3, Track#7) are very touching. The hearty talk by Andy Lau at the end of the concerts is also added honey for all his die-hard devotees.

Shame, shame, shame. Responsible people would definitely not be releasing this dvd with a cover layout so similar to Leslie Cheung's Passion Tour. They even use the same colour, red! Even the name of the concert was in the same 'format' ...xxx Tour. Andy's people should be more creative lah! Although no fan of Andy's singing, I do watch some of his dvd, he's ok but nothing to shout about. My first taste of his singing was the movie Shanghai Grand when he sang the movie theme. Mind you, I bought the dvd only because of Leslie and was disappointed Leslie wasn't singing it!

I got this album before last Christmas. In general, all the songs are good-listening. I especially love to hearing many times to times from the hits such as The day we walk together. Andy Lau is always keep hit hot on high degree. he he he he

I really like this album...I think he is the best out of the old four kings..I mean..I have been his fan such a long time and I do admire his success and his sheer hard work..he does truly move on and is a legend to us all..

Thumbs up for "Andy Lau Vision Tour 2004 Concert" DVD. Even though Jacky Cheung has the best singing abilities of the four heavenly kings, Andy possess good vocals. He's been at the top of the show business ladder for over 20 years? His staying power speaks for itself! Even if you don't care for Andy's singing, it's a must see spectacular show indeed! Bravo Andy!!!

Some people may think that andy is good while some may not. I had seen the past reviews and honestly speaking each to his or her own perference. I had even a female classmate saying that he is so ugly looking. My god!!!!
How can that be?!! He is able to hold on to this carreer for 20 over years is due to his manly look. I must admit that he is truly good looking. But, his singing has gradually deproved. I had been his ardent fan since at a very young age. Well, he sings better in the past. Now at about 42 years og age, I think he should be retiring soon. As for the vision tour, its definitely worth it for people who supports andy a lot just like me.
