Storyline lacked a little, but it was the performances that carried this series all the way through.. in fact i read on twitch that sassy girl was in the top 10 rated tv dramas in 2005, so that should give you an indication of how popular it was. If you loved My Girl, Full House or Sam Soon, this one's for you.

November 19, 2006 fashion 70sThis masterpiece was filmed by the director of Damo.. Honestly, the drama didn't feel like a drama series, it looked and felt like watching a movie :) Cinematography was excellent, storyline was intriguing and performances, both by the child actors and adult actors were very well done. Soundtrack was also VERY good, eg 'Close to you' by the Carpenters..hehe. I think the only flaws was that it was too long (28 eps for a historical drama is still short mind you) and the ending was not to my liking! The ending was appropriate (it was a happy ending, but i didn't like the way they solved the problem). I rate the subtitles 8/10 (there are lots of spelling mistakes and occasional grammer errors) That being said, I still enjoyed Fashion 70s, loved the clothes, loved the music and i love the children! They were so cute!

I started watching this one day, thinking it was just another k-drama with the same old genre. But, surprisingly I loved it. I didn't expect to like this drama so much! I agree with mostly everyone's comments here, very good drama. Green Rose goes outside your typical korean melodrama to deliver an intense script, out-of-the-ordinary performances (Go Su in particular) and most beautiful and heart-felt OST I havent ever listened to. My sister hasn't watched it, but listening to the OST, she nearly cried and now she's watching it! I think the downside of GR was that the producers shouldn't have extended it to 22 and kept it at 20..it slowed pace towards the end,and a lil before the guy comes back to korea but other than that, Green Rose was purely entertaining. Try watching it one day and you'll see!

October 2, 2006 hmmJust not what i was looking for.. dragged too much and i think it was a bit depressing. Watched the first 5 episodes and then skipped to the end.. i could tell it was sad and everything and i can understand why ppl have rated it, but the drama just didn't grab me.. Maybe i should stay clear of these types?

October 2, 2006 Bravo!I absolutely loved AAE! So much drama, intense script, sweet OST, i think most of the credit goes to the two main leads - they had lots of chemistry and were so enjoyable to watch. I cried at the end, because it was so heart-warming and *sigh* romantic!

Main female actress was adorable in her role, which saved the drama from failing. Acting-wise was disappointing, but then again they were all newbies so was not tooo bad. Chemistry could have been better, but still good. Plot dragged a bit during the second half but i managed to finish it! Watch it if you have time!

October 2, 2006 Didn't like itI absolutely loved the beginning of the series, it was so sweet and heart-warming.. sigh! But then, it lost its momentum half-way thru. I think it dragged too much for my liking, and there was not much chemistry between the leads (im a hopeless romantic). Nevertheless, i managed to finish the whole thing, and i just think this drama is just not my style.

Performances, OST, setting were all excellent, but i remember fast-forwarding throughout the second half of the drama. Don't get me wrong, i love these types of movies (i am the queen of these genres!) - but STH just didn't grab me.

Lots of drama, great performances by all the actors/actresses all round, sweet ending. There were so many good points about this drama that i can't describe, it hooks and reels you in, excellent ost, fresh acting, energising script. i think it was sentimental, and altho it dragged in some parts i didn't mind because they were sweet and supposed to slow down the audience - kinda like the director saying 'let this part sink in..' which gives the story more developed siginificance. MNIKSS beats FH anyday! 4.5 stars

September 23, 2006 Good dramaIt was alright, not great. One thing it lacked was DRAMA! lol This was needed during the middle of the series when all you see is the couple bickering and arguing.. or unnecessary fighting. Cute in the beginning, but got tooooo draggy. Luckily it picked itself up in the end. Plot was good, but maybe the subplots needed to be better developed (the guy's acting career and girl's writing career) - these were just skimmed on the surfaces.
Overall, a good drama. Acting were very good (main couple suited each other well. FH needs much more flavour n spice and development to be a 5/5 for me. Worth watching if you have the time!

September 23, 2006 bashya! Watch itMy Girl is a go-and-hug-the-nearest-person-to-you type of drama, one of the best of 2005/2006! At first I was hesitant about watching it, but then i was hooked. I loved it! (and let me tell you i'm a pretty hard person to please) Eg didn't really like full house or stairway to heaven/winter sonata. They were alright, but NOT great. When compared to Full house, My Girl had so much more substance and flavour.. the plot was better, chemistry was wayyy better.. everything was just so much more developed and better presented..
Not to mention the hottest cast you've ever seen LDW/LDH! Seriously hot eye candy :P
My hat goes off to Yoo Rin and Gong Chan- those two were brilliant in their acting. Even if they had no words in a scene, their emotions still jumped off the screen.. their eyes did the acting. You'll have a grin from ear-to-ear after watching them.
The actors/actresses were all very good, fantastic script, beautiful setting and props, love the ost.. just brilliant altogother! This is the type of drama that stays with you even after you've finished. Now do yourself a favour and go watch it.. Bashya!
