Venerable legends Anzenchitai have been setting the gold standard for Japanese pop-rock for a very long time. Reunited once again, they buff up some of their biggest hits on this collection. Most of the arrangements aren't radically different from the original versions, but the songs definitely benefit from being rerecorded with today's technology. If you already own either the band's "Complete Best" or "Golden Best" albums, then this new "HITS" collection may be superfluous for you. However, "Anzenchitai HITS" now stands as the CD to own for anyone who doesn't already have one of this excellent band's "best of" packages.
