Another Excellent CD Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
You probably want to consider this CD as well if you want to get L'Arc~en~Ciel's Smile album. My favorites are Pieces (ark mix), What is Love, Butterfly's Sleep, Track 9 and Larva which is pure music. The music in this CD is a little heavier than the Smile album. The last two tracks are absolutely wonderful and you won't be disappointed if you like r&b rock ballad. Is there such a music genre? :)

extremely ~ Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
when I was only a 9 yrs old child ,I start to buy japanese CD, I purphase "Ark", I deemed that it was wonderful and fantastic.Because of her, I became fond of Jp CD. I really appreciate the melody of songs inside such as Drivest High. I really enjoy in it. Although you guys will argue with me that I knew nothing since I was a litte child .But I can tell you that now a 13yrs old teenager is writing here because after he listened to her again recently, he couldn't sure when his enthusiasm would came to an end .

ark= best laruku album Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Released with 'ray', 'ark' gives more of a wet feeling while 'ray' gives more of a dry feeling to the listener. It has the coolest album cover ever too! People would probably wonder what it is exactly when you look at it (looks kinda like a blimp) but it's an ark! Eleven great hits, including many favourites like "HEAVEN'S DRIVE", "Dive to Blue", "forbidden lover", "Driver's High" and "Pieces", this is an album that is a must-have!
The intro of "forbidden lover" (composed by ken) leads you to this dark and wet world of Laruku. "HEAVEN'S DRIVE" (composed by hyde) is more rocky and edgy, especially with their catchy chorus... definitely a favourite!
"Clash! Into the rolling morning, Flash! I'm on the coolest driver's high!"! "Driver's High" (composed by tetsu), with the coolest PV ever, gives more of a pop sound compared to "HEAVEN'S DRIVE", a great lead to the song "Cradle".
Another favourite is "Dive to Blue" (composed by tetsu)! Also very very catchy, the lyrics are just mesmerizing to listen to! This is also the song with the notorious PV of tetsu dressed up as a woman, just some weird facts to know. =P "Larva"(composed by yukihiro) is more of a prelude leading up to the next song "Butterfly's Sleep" (composed by ken).
The most special song in this CD has got to be "Perfect Blue". Differently from their usual style, this hawaiian style song gives Laruku it's funkiness. It's also a rare song that hyde doesn't write the lyrics to (tetsu wrote the lyrics as well as the song in this one).
"Shinjitsu to Gensou to" (composed by ken) is a totally awesome song to listen to. The introduction of the piano gives the song the mysterious edge to it, with the guitar joining it afterwards.
"What is love" (composed by tetsu) is pop, and as the title suggests, quite sad with hyde's lyrics.
The last song, "Pieces" (composed by tetsu) is awesome. Orchestra, sweet melody, hyde sings a perfect ballad here. Of course, the PV is just as awesome. =D
"ark" is my favourite album out of all their albums (basically fav album in general too), with many singles in it (just like 'ray') so if you can, please buy it and have a listen!
