1968年、アメリカの占領下にあった沖縄。ハーフのエリは、定時制高校に通いながらコザ市のレストランで働いていた。ある日、店に人気ロックバンド"バスターズ"のメンバーがやって来た。Aサインバーと呼ばれる、米軍から風俗営業の許可をもらったバーでロックを歌うバスターズ。いつしかメンバーのサチオに惹かれたエリは、結婚し子供をもうけた。だが金と女に弱いサチオのせいで、生活は苦しいばかり。大ゲンカとなり「子供と死ぬ」というエリを、サチオはバンドのボーカルに加入させる…。
