Disturbing
| I admit that there was a nothing much going on for the first few minutes of the movie. However, as it went along and more truths about the girl is uncovered, it becomes very interesting and disturbing. You must have a strong stomach to be able to finish this movie. |

Watch while you're widely awake then you'll enjoy

(Great) - The story and characters are interesting. (Great) - The graphics can be disturbing but that's what you've been warning for, correct? (Good) - The story-line is hopping around, so if you don't follow the story-line you'll feel confused. |

Still Spooked
| I watched that movie for the first time a couple of days ago because my friends boss said it was one of the scariest movies ever, and he wasnt lying. I almost peed my pants on several occasions. Wow, I definately suggest it. |

Not a bad movie
| Well, I understood this one better than "The Isle" (which I didn't understand at all).It just seems like quite a few directors of horror movies these days,kind of like to take the easy way out. Was it a dream (nightmare)? Was it supposed to have actually happened(not a dream/nightmare)? If the director decides he's going to make it all in the characters mind,then it needn't make sense, and he doesn't have to be bothered explaining just what the heck was going on! Still, worth seeing. |

I'm not a big fan of Takashi Miike's other ultra-violent works, but Audition is a true attempt at addressing one of the more serious issues here in Japan - female oppression. It tells of a man who, after losing his wife, holds a fake audition for a movie in order to get to intimately know a woman he has picked from a bunch of resumes. For anyone who has an understanding of Japanese cultural issues, this movie should have great effect, but I would not be certain that non-Japanese would be able to feel for this movie as much. The only negative comment I have about this film is its rather abrupt and vague ending, but I suppose that it is considerably acceptable for this type of film. As for the violence in the film, it is more intense than any Hollywood movie out there, but nothing ground breaking in relation to other Japanese movies considered as being 'violent'. |

clever fil making
| what can i say an excellent film, well paced, great direction, well acted, wounderful cinematography, the thing about this film is you can actually see it truly happening its so believable its scary, it sticks in ur mind for a long time, i actually prefered this film to ichi the killer, i can honestly recomend it. |

It starts calmly, but...
| Don't expect alot of action, this is not that kind of movie. Instead, this is a great film for those who want something more sophisticated. Although it starts very calmly, the ending is pretty disturbing but matches the story well. A good film, definitely worth renting. |
