I just couldn't get excited about this film despite it being highly reviewed. You need to understand RPGs in order to understand the film. It is slow and pensive. The effects are fantastic, but there are so few. I hated the ending because it felt like the director just took a camcorder around with him in public rather than attempt to stage extras. Great idea, great effects, but just not enough effort to make this a truly great film all round. |

Good film, worth seeing.

This movie is interesting and had some great effects! It is a trip to watch a movie in Polish after watching so many asian movies. This movie is not what you expect, you can't guess the whole story after 5 minutes. |

Remember this when you see the movie... Welcome to Avalon. Great Movie, a masterpiece. Bettre then Ghost in the Shell. The Graphic effets are just impressive. The computer interfaces are just plain imaginative. The story is just impressive. This is a must see movie. We can see the master Mamoru Oshii in work with this movie. Bravo from CANADA. The Matrix as just became a Kidy Movie. have fun...people. |

Awesome Cinematography!

I would only recommend this movie to arthouse fans or hardcore fans of 3D shoot-em-up video games. It's a movie that deals with gaming in virtual reality. The concept of the movie reminded me of Dark City and The Matrix. The video was encoded at a higher than avg. bitrate, so the quality was awesome. Also, you don't need to have a 16:9 TV set to view the subtitles, just set your DVD player to 16:9 mode (this is the 1st DVD I ever had to do this on). |
