Starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, and Stephen Lang, the film is set in the year 2154, when humans are mining a rare and very valuable mineral on the distant world of Pandora. The mining operation is threatening the life of the native aboriginal people, the Na'vi, so the mining company sends a team of scientists there, using "Avatars" - genetically enhanced Na'vi clones - to navigate the vast jungle world of Pandora and interact with the Na'vi people. One of the team members is a crippled ex-marine named Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), who will eventually become a leader of the opposite camp in the ultimate clash between Nature and civilization!
The Extended Collector's Edition features the Original Theatrical Version as well as the Special Edition Re-release with 16 more minutes and exclusive alternate opening. It also comes with an extra disc loaded with making-of documentary and deleted scenes.
