After their latest concert tour, Chatmonchy returns to their native Tokushima. There, they visited the studio where they recorded their first independent album in 2004 and recorded four new songs, including the anime theme song Koko dake no Hanashi. Combined with four unreleased tracks recorded when they made their 2005 major mini-album debut chatmonchy has come, the band now releases their second major mini-album Awa Come. With a mix of the old and the new, fans can hear how much the band has evolved in the past five years.

8曲入りミニアルバム!! ツアーファイナル後そのまま1ヶ月間徳島に滞在し、デビューのきっかけとなった自主制作盤『チャットモンチーになりたい』(2004年 ※現在入手不可)をレコーディングしたスタジオでのレコーディングを敢行。デビュー・ミニアルバム『chatmonchy has come』(2005年)収録曲と同時期に作られた未発表曲4曲と、今回郷里で一から制作したまっさらな新曲4曲という、原風景と現風景が入り混じった不思議なコンセプトアルバム。大学の後輩によるストリングスをフューチャーした「あいかわらず」や、福岡晃子が作曲まで手がけた「セカンドプレゼント」、ギター1本での弾き語り曲となる「また、近いうちに」など、リラックスして制作を行った中にも新たな側面が伺える。「ここだけの話」は10月よりスタートのフジテレビアニメ『海月姫』オープニング・テーマに決定。ジャケットには在徳島のカメラマン上野照文氏による阿波踊りの写真を使用し、ブックレットにも徳島市内の写真を使用。
