Improvements Needed

Its been quite some time since Ayu last came out with a remix album and therefore this was a highly anticipated album for me. After one listen, somehow it just didnt feel up to par with her previous remixes. I had half expected this album to be full with superb and electrifying techno / trance tracks but it wasnt to be. In my opinion, the 2 best tracks that made me pleased were GAME × YOJI & Together When... × CO-FUSION . They had the beat and excitement that I was searching for in this album. HEAVEN × DAISHI DANCE is another good remix that gave me a whole new impression that remixes need not be in techno style to be good ! The starting of alterna × FREEFORM FIVE was really good but the momentum just disappeared after that. Perhaps the most disappointing remix for me was No way to say × HIGH CONTRAST . The whole song was quite repetitive and boring with the same beats. The original version was definitely better ! JEWEL × STEPHANE POMPOUGNAC & part of Me × CARL CRAIG was also pretty good. All in all, this album pales in comparison with Ayus other remixes but it is still a good collectors item. The cover looks nice and this version also comes with a postcard. I hope we will see some improvements in Ayus future remix albums. If youre a fan of Ayu then get this.
