December 5, 2007 a little overpricedI bought my copy several days before the preorder release, and it took ONE day to reach me. Amazing thing is, it set me back by only SGD150. I didn't purchase my set from yesasia, but from a korean site that ships overseas.
Enough about the price, this special edition is well worth your money. The photobooks themselves equate the crazy ceiling-hitting price, you'd get three beautiful photobooks with awe-inspiring paris scenery, and our own boys modelling the backdrop! The pages are glossy, and just.. huge-ogle material. The dvd is such a joy to watch. Over 100minutes plus of wacky walkthroughs, there's so much coupling going on in there, you can't help but laugh along.
the photo diary is pretty amazing too. much better than 2007's diary. has the scenic paris scenery + our boys splashed across its pages.
Get it if you have moolah to spare. You won't regret it, trust me.

March 5, 2007 Sad song lives up to its name.I had been deliberating between the limited and normal edition for the longest time. The limited edition comes with a DVD of his Sad song PV whereas his normal edition comes with an additional song- Imperfect. Anyone would be torn if pressed to make a choice. I ended up buying both in the end because I was utterly impressed with the preview I heard of 'Imperfect'. Let me first start of with the single, Sad song. Befitting of its melancholic lyrics, one which griefs of lost love; John Hoon delivers the feel of the song exceptionally well with his pristine vocals. I have always thought of him as a balladist, one who could touch hearts through his songs. Sad song, is the very embodiment of his amazing talent at tugging your heartstrings. 'Imperfect' and 'Endless Rain' are slightly more upbeat songs, both tinged with rather sad undertones. Overall, these three songs appeals to the nostalgic at heart due to its distinct mellow feel. These songs are truly John Hoon through and through.
Don't give this single a miss.

November 19, 2006 John Hoon's first albumIf I had one word to describe this album, it'll be: amazing.
And no, I'm unbiased. His voice is refreshingly smooth & clear, complementing the choice of songs he picked for his first ever japanese album.
I especially liked the first track, Sirius as well as the fifth track, Still Believe. The first one is an infectious ditty that refuses to leave your mind, as you find yourself humming to the rythm after a few listens. In contrast, Still believe is a heartwrenching ballad that managed to touch my heart. His voice is unbelievably crisp, his intonation is applaudable too, considering his first foray into learning the japanese language.
The only shortcoming, I must say, is the lack of songs. With only 5 tracks to content with, I found myself a little disappointed by this album's offering. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this album. And you should too. Do give it a try.
