September 11, 2005 Ayu's Best Single since "&"This is truly Ayumi Hamasaki's best single since 2003's "&", which featured 3 a-sides and one b-side. 1st of all, the covers for both versions are simple, yet stunning, Just like the song "HEAVEN". The song progresses in a different way which sets itself apart from other Ayumi ballads. The verses come, then a bridge, and the song ends with the chorus. The song is beautiful and its emotionally expressed through Ayu's amazing vocals. The simple yet touching PV also adds to the song. The 2nd track on the single is WILL, a traditional sounding song that is reminiscent of Ayumi's "A Song for XX" album, minus the squeaky vocals. In fact, Ayu's vocals are superb, and smooth and amtch the song very well. You will NOT want to miss this single. It's simple, and beautiful. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

INSPIRE (CD+DVD)(Japan Version)
July 28, 2004 Not extremely INSPIRED...INSPIRE and GAME are pretty mediocre for "Ayumi Hamasaki" compared to her past works... But they are not BAD songs... My main problem with them is the length of the songs, GAME and INSPIRE are both just over 4 minutes... They seem shorter than that though, the verses in both songs are WAYYY too short. The PV's are certainly nice though. A visual masterpiece. I'm not so sure about the music on this one though. I hope Ayu gets rid of BOUNCEBACK and Yukimi Tetsuya... Did you find this review helpful? Utada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL.1 (Japan Version)
Utada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL.1 (Japan Version)
(33)Our Price: US$34.25Usually ships within 7 daysJune 13, 2004 A rushed piece of garbage...This whole album was just an excuse for Utada Hikaru to make a few more millions. The songs for this album were probably chosen in 5 minutes. I have heard Utada's album tracks such as "Never Let Go", and I fell in love with it... But I tell you these singles are extremely bland. I can't stand her Mariah Carey-ish voice, her style is hardly unique... And especially with her poorly written, dullard tunes such as "First Love"... I don't see what is good about Utada Hikaru... Her songs are barely even catchy, you want something catchy turn to Ayumi Hamasaki, Namie Amuro, or BoA... If you want real R&B with great vocals, buy something by MISIA. Just because Utada can sing perfect English doesn't make her the hottest j-pop star in the world. I was completely disappointed with this album, and I hope Utada's Overseas career fails miserably... June 13, 2004 "Best" means Best...This is a great compilation for anyone who is a fan of Ayumi or someone who wants to get a first impression of j-pop. It features 16 of Ayu's best material over 4 years... The three new re-recordings are great, showing Ayu's vocal improvements throughout the years. You won't be disappointed... such songs as "A Song For XX", "TO BE", "Boys & Girls", "SEASONS", and "M" will keep you listening for years to come. Ayu is the queen of j-pop!
