December 20, 2009 The beginning of a beautiful friendship...
I am non-Chinese, but somehow got into Chinese music this year. I first saw Show in Corner With Love, and became curious about him. So I started to watch a couple of his MVs, and before I knew it I had come to like this funny, charismatic, and talented person.
So I decided to get Show's Trendy Man album. It took almost exactly 2 weeks, but was worth the wait. The album came wrapped in a silver package, and the inside of the CD album's lid is shiny like a mirror. I could actually see my reflection, lol
When I first ordered it I was nervous because I had only heard Cheng Yao and Gao Xiao. Never thought I would like most of the songs on his album! Gao Diao Ai and the one after Gao Xiao on the album I also liked a lot. Cheng Yao is by far my favorite one! I just love its fun and catchy beat. This past summer I would warm up each morning by playing it while doing the 'Cheng Yao dance' (go see MV!). Gao Diao Ai is really nice, has a good rhythm. I think I've practically memorized most of Gao Xiao, lol
I was a little disappointed that the album didn't have the solo part of the song that Show dances to in his Ge Zhong Qiang Shou (Hot Shot) MV. There is also one other song before the last one on the album that I thought was just ok. But I really like most of the songs, and will usually play them all.
So the bottom line is I am very satisfied with my purchase, and I hope to get his newest album "Luo Sheng Men" that is coming out in January! ^_^
