This is indeed one of my favorite Namie singles up to date. Both songs are tremendously good and really to my liking. The first track, " Baby Don't Cry " is a mid-tempo ballad which is very catchy and fun to listen to. Namie's voice is so touching and strong that she manages to carry the whole song by herself. It's been awhile since Namie produced such a sweet ballad. The second track, " Nobody " has the same music as another Namie song " White Light " but the lyrics are different. It is also a mid-tempo song although Namie's voice sounds kinda soft here. Though classified as a b-side track, it is really good and should have a single by itself. The TV Mix version of both songs don't have much lyrics in them except for the chorus part. I think it was way better than having 2 instrumentals. Overall, this is a very sweet and good single. It took Namie long enough to come out with such an excellent single but it was well worth the wait ^^ |

"Baby Don't Cry" is so inspiring and beautiful!!! Namie has come back with a fresh, original style and Japan is loving it. I am a bigger Namie fan since she finished her last live tour, "Live Style 2006"! It's because that last showing in her hometown, Okinawa, she changed. She got reconnected with her fans, music, and the inner Namie. She's happy again and I haven't seen her smile so much in a long time!!! This single makes me so happy when I listen to it; it's so happy and laid-back. The B-side is so great -n- it's the continuation to "White Light". I perfer it even more than the Christmas ballad. I think it's so beautiful and bittersweet. You'll love Namie-A if you don't already! |

An Awesome Comeback!
| It's been a little half a year since she released another single and is a great comeback for her. 'Baby Don't Cry' offers a nice soothing melody and beat. Her vocals are wonderful in this single and the chorus is done perfectly. Her small English sections were fine as well since her English is understandable. At first, I thought the song was weird but once you repeat it over and over, it gets rather addicting. The lyrics are full of positive words as well. 'Nobody' is similar to her 'White Light' single except the lyrics are different and the Christmas-y sounds are taken out. Nonetheless, I enjoyed this new single from her. If you're a Namie fan, you should definitely buy this! And if you're not, try this single out - meaning, buy it anyways. :) |
