Arashi's Matsumoto Jun cooks up the perfect recipe for entertainment in the 2007 NTV drama Bambino!. Based on Sekiya Tetsuji's popular manga, Bambino sees Matsumoto donning a chef's cap as Ban Shogo, a brash young college student and aspiring cook from Fukuoka who moves to Tokyo to study the ins and outs of Italian cuisine. The kitchen is like a battlefield at the posh Italian restaurant where Ban begins his training as an assistant, and his ego is soon put soundly into place by the restaurant staff who are less than amused with this enthusiastic rookie in need of babying. Nicknamed "Bambi" by his colleagues, Ban Shogo is determined to learn quickly and prove himself, one strand of pasta at a time. Bambino! co-stars Karina (Koizora), Sato Ryuta (Rookies), Uchida Yuki (Big Wing), and the ever-prolific Kitamura Kazuki (Galileo). The drama's theme song, We can make it! by Arashi, also became a big hit in Japan.

大學生伴省吾（松本潤飾演）在博多一家小義大利餐館打工，不但料理受到顧客稱讚，又取得了廚師執照，讓他頗為自得自滿。某日，老闆推薦阿伴到朋友的店裡幫忙，沒想到竟是東京六本木的一流餐廳「巴卡納蕾」！於是初生之犢不畏虎的阿伴，就此踏進了義大利料理最前線！
