Next station, Love. Directed by Adisorn Trisirikasem (My Girl), Bangkok Traffic Love Story turned into the highest-grossing Thai film of 2009 through its tried-and-true tale of serendipitous urban romance. The glossy blockbuster tugs all the right heartstrings for a photogenic and crowd-pleasing romantic comedy that plays out on the Bangkok Transit System skytrain. Depressed about her budding spinster status, perpetually single 30-year-old Mei Li (Sirin Horwang, E-Tim Tai Nae) gets fabulously drunk at her friend's wedding party, and ends up in a fender bender. The accident turns out to be a blessing in disguise, because she ends up meeting Lung (Theeradej Wongpuapan, Mahasajan Pan Rak), the lucky recipient of her projectile sideview mirror. Reduced to public transportation, Mei Li crosses paths with Lung again on the BTS, where he works the late night shift. Mei Li is positive that he's the one, but she's inexperienced in love and can't seem to stop breaking things every time she sees him! Can Mei Li triumph over a romantic rival (Ungsumalynn Sirapatsakmetha, Hormones), strange work hours, and her insecurities to get the guy?
