Fresh off the ratings battle of Why Why Me and My Lucky Star, top Taiwanese television idols Mike He and Lee Wei team up for the new drama Basketball (a.k.a. Bull Fighting and Hooping Dulcinea). Although basketball has previously been covered in dramas like Basketball Tribe and MVP Valentine, the pairing of Mike He and Lee Wei, in their first series together since Yes Enterprise, with S.H.E.'s Hebe (The Rose) offers fresh new romantic sparks. Basketball enthusiasts in real life, Mike He and Lee Wei show their stuff on the court, and even petite Hebe, who couldn't even dribble prior to the drama, displays some impressive skills.

Every year rival schools East Sun and Lanti battle on the basketball court to determine which school gets control of the 13th Street basketball court. East Sun has won the three-on-three face-offs for nine years in a row and the team, led by tycoon's son Shen Ruo He (Mike He), is heavily favored to triumph again this year. While rushing to the game, however, Ruo He accidentally bumps into Sheng Xue (Hebe), the daughter of the local mob boss. Peeved by Ruo He's attitude, Sheng Xue's bodyguard does a little sabotaging that unexpectedly leads to East Sun losing the game! An avid East Sun fan herself, Sheng Xue blames Ruo He for the loss, and even especially transfers to East Sun to raise hell for him. As rivalry turns into romantic tension, Sheng Xue finds herself caught between her "enemy" Ruo He and her longtime admirer Zi Cong (Lee Wei).

一大清早、風和日麗，在這座香火鼎盛的大廟，突然出現一名白衣少女，領著一隊身著黑衣的驃悍男子，一看便知是道上的人物。這令早起的香客大為驚惶，趕緊躲得遠遠，只見這白衣少女領著這群黑衣人，恭敬上香，求得上上籤，當下歡呼起來，全體大喊：「東上學院萬歲！東上十連霸！東上讚！讚！讚！」。原來這名領導黑衣人的白衣少女叫伊勝雪，是對街頭籃球不懂，但卻是東上Trio的超級粉絲。她也是地十三街大地主，人稱「武爺」，伊全武的獨生女，在她身邊，始終以保護勝雪為人生使命的青梅竹馬，金子聰，則是武爺收留的孤兒。

東上Trio，是東上學院歷屆票選出來，三人成組的團體，主要目的是為擺平東上學院內大小事，一直受到東上學生的敬重。藍地與東上為爭這個「地十三街鬥牛場」 ，年年在此以三對三鬥牛決戰，勝者擁有此球場的使用權。連續九年，東上歷屆的Trio更是代表東上爭取到這塊屬於學生精神自由的聖地。伊勝雪衝著今天是藍地與東上第十年的決賽，特地趕早場來上香，就是要求神保佑東上能夠贏得第十個冠軍，現在抽到籤王，喜孜孜的她隨即打道回府，等著觀賞一年一度的鬥牛大決賽……
