the first br was one of the greatest movie i ever watch and br2 was just plain stupid, almost no plot what so ever, one of the worst i ever watch. just pointless killing no depth. Very bad movie waste of time and money.

BETTER than part 1! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Cool! There is another linda here! =D and what a huge coincidence, most of the things she mentioned are EXACTLY how I feel too! =D Mmm…I wonder if she is my twin! Even our names are exactly the same! ^_^
Anyway, I would just like to say that BR II is the coolest Japanese action movie yet! I loved it so much that I just have to watch it about 10 times each day! ^_^ I agree with everything linda said about the actors, I feel they all did a wonderful job however Maeda Ai was the BEST! In my opinion, she was WAY better than her sister Maeda Aki! Ito Yuuki was great too, however I disagree with Linda about them being a couple though…I just can’t imagine Ai and Yuuki together! And besides, Yuuki isn’t very well-known in Japan, I only knew him from BR II…what other movies was he in? Anyway, I found him to be really cool in the movie, but he doesn’t suit Ai…Here are the guys I reckon will suit Maeda Ai from the movie: Shugo Oshinari (Takuma Aoi), Ryoji Fujihira (Nasami Shibaki), Kenji Harada (Naoki Jo), and definitely Kei Tamura who played ‘Tatsuhiko Hasegawa?(Boy #11) will be a great match for Maeda Ai, but NOT Ito Yuuki!
Apart from that, the music, action, and storyline is really good, although to a lot of people, there’s too much talking, but it just explains how one feels and isn’t it exciting just to know what people are feeling? ^_^ Anyway, I feel all BR fans SHOULD watch this! For the people who haven’t watched it, you should watch it regardless of what other people tell you about it. It annoys me every time someone says “Don’t watch it, it’s bad, you’ll hate it?or vise versa, because all they are telling you is what they think of the movie basing on their OWN opinions, they wouldn’t know how u feel about the movie. So I agree with linda 100% on this one! Watch the movie for yourselves, regardless what other people say to you, these people here are only voicing out how THEY feel about the movie, it doesn’t concern the people who have NOT watched it yet. So just watch the movie for yourselves, u never know, maybe you’ll love it despite someone telling you it’s bad. And if u just watched it and don’t like yet, then at least u have watched it and know what is it about! =D

The first BR film was extraordinary; dealing with issues of trust and betrayal, plus of course a huge variety of ways to die!
The sequel attempts an examination of whether Shuya's 'terrorism' is justified, but seems to consist mostly of endless gunfights.
If you like Maeda Ai (or Aki) then check out the 90s Gamera movies too.

An Excellent Movie!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This movie is so cool! It's action-pact and although there's alot of tlaking going on, but it isn't great either if there's too much action and not enough talking! ^_~ Anyway, I found this sequel to be A LOT btter than the first part! I'm just one of those few people who love the sequel more! Since I'm a BR fan, I sould love part 1 alot, frankly speaking, I do, but not as much as part 2! Mainly because it has 2 of my favourite idols: Maeda Ai and Ito Yuuki! And to make this sequel extra special for me, both Ai and Yuuki were partners! I was really happy! Both of them were the best in the movie, even though Yuuki only survived throughout half of the movie. But I was even more disappointed that Shiori (Ai) died as well, but at the end! Both my idols died! He...he oh well! I really like Yuuki in here, he is so HOT! Although some of my friends say he looked weird with that big hair, but it just adds the coollness to his punk attitude! I kinda feel he and Ai make a cute couple! I really do! The part when Kurosawa (Yuuki) tried to go and help the other group, Shiori held him back and refused to let him go telling him that she won't let him die until they get Nanahara. That was my fav scene! =D I really do think they both are really cute together! ^_^
The other actors performed really well too, including Ai's sister; Aki, but I don't like her...However overall, this is a must see for all BR fans, although some people don't like this sequel, but everyone has their own tastes and opinions, u never know, you may end up loving the movie, dispite people saying it's bad. So don't take people's advice when they say it's good or bad, cuz u never know unless you watch it for yourself. Just like me, some of my friends said it sux, and I was hesitant to watch it at first, but I watched and it turned out that I loved it! So go and watch this sequel for yourself, don't listen to other people when they say it's good or bad, cuz it's only their opinion, not yours, so go and watch this movie for yourself!

Deja Vu anyone? Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This movie is really good with an exciting plot suitable for its genre. However, though the acting was great and the special effects were awesome, I noticed that at the "landing" part, the scenes were very VERY much like the d-day campaign in "Saving Private Ryan" he only downfall of this movie is that the students die WAYYYY too fast. FOr ex. They start of with 42 students but suddenly end of with only like 20 after a couple of minutes. Never the less, great movie.

after the first br i couldnt wait for this to be released but found myself feeling very dissapointed at the movie nothing new in the plot the fact that the students are paired up just means they can kill off the cast faster without letting you get to know any of the characters BIG LET DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not as good as the first one Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
The first Battle Royale was arguably one of the best motion pictures in the history of Japanese cinema, but this one kind of fell by the wayside. This one is, essentially, a war picture. The enemy: the survivor of the first Battle Royale, who had amassed an army to oppose the Japanese government. Of course, I've only seen the unsubbed version, so my interpretations of the plot may be way off. In order to combat this terrorist group that is headquartered on an island in the Pacific, 42 students have been selected to participate in a war game. In the end, though, the terrorists and the few surviving students form an alliance against the masterminds of the game.

Excellent Movie!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I just love this movie! The best war movie I have ever watched! The casting was really good, the actors performed wonderfully, especially Maeda Ai! I'm a HUGE fan of Maeda Ai, I thought she was the best out of all of them, Aki was ok I guess, but not as good as Ai! But I haven't watched the first part yet, but I'm planning on watching it very soon. But I don't think I'll like it as much as part 2 cuz a friend told me that Ai isn't in it. But overall, this is an excellent movie! I must see for all BR fans!

I didn't expect it to be as good as the first one... BR2 is alright. Most of the students die too quickly at the start though and the ending didn't make much sense. I have a feeling there's definitely going to be a BR3 since the ending felt like it wasn't truly the 'End' - Hope you understand what I mean!
