 Welcome back, Bondy! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
It was such a long time since the year 2000 that she released her The Best album. I better say that I'm still so surprised to see a new release from Bondy!
I warmly say welcome back Bondy!
I was always looking forward to see a new release, however, this CD is a mix of 90's songs, all the songs can be found in her 2000 The Best album. I haven't purchased this CD yet mainly because of the song titles looks similar to her 2000 album which exactly came with 17 tracks.
Those ones who got this CD, are all the tracks the same as her The Best album? Is there any difference or they're 90's songs recorded in this release?
I like Bondy's voice so much! I'm so happy to see this new CD after 5 years! I think she's a great singer and I hope to see more new songs from her soon.

 Is everybody ready for Bondy Chiu's return?!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
My goodness! Am I dreaming? Bondy is back (very soon)! After five years of doing both "Virtues of Harmony I & 2", Bondy is back! Fives years departure from the music scene is not too long and not too short (I think). It's been eight years since I've purchased her last album (that was my only one before I have purchased this CD + DVD just three days ago). I love both compilation albums of the years 1997 and this year. In this new one, it has 7 songs from my last album, in which remains 10 songs for this one. Although old to most people listening to the songs right now, they're completely new to me. With the recent good performance of her song - "Best Position" on the local Hong Kong pop music charts, Bondy is well and truly making her way back with the rest of EEG and the Hong Kong pop music world. For this song (which is featured in Wyman Wong's "Aften Ten" album (which is Wyman's tenth anniversary commemorative album as one of Hong Kong's best lyricists)), Vicki Fung Wing-kei (one of Hong Kong's most recent songwriters/singers. She's just a few months ahead of in releasing an album before my favourite songwriter/singer, Ivana Wong Yuen-chi, released an album through Universal Music Hong Kong) composed the music; the lyrics of course, were penned by Wyman; and were musically arranged and produced by Chan Kwok-wing. The song was published in the year 2002, but was probably never been released for the public to listen until now. As for the DVD that comes with it, what more can I say? Just absolutely brilliant. It made Bondy look like a seasoned performer in front of the cameras. The cinematography is lush, and Bondy, she won me over with her beauty and charisma. We shall see what Bondy will be up to next. I hope Bondy will come to Sydney, Australia, one day and perform a concert for us at either the Sydney Entertainment Centre or at the Sydney Superdome.  Shining vocals... Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I have to agree with the reviewer who noted the songs do sound a bit dated. You can tell this is a compilation of mostly 90s songs and not a 2005 release. But, that aside: Bondy has a fabulous voice! I really like her sound. Rich and warm but pure and sweet at the same time. I like track #1 a lot, and #2 not-so-much. Which is pretty much my take on this entire CD. Some songs are definitely far better than others...probably because some are newer than others. I enjoy that Bondy does mostly ballads and does them very passionately and expressively. She really SINGS and you can feel her presence all around as she gets into each song. My only true complaint with this is that the songs ARE old. I would adore a NEW RELEASE of 2005 (or 2006...whenever she can prepare a new CD) songs by Bondy. Maybe with less traditional instuments...but still ballads. I think she's definitely a ballad singer. I would also like to see her singing more POWER ballads. Her voice has such un-tapped strength, that I think releasing it on an explosive ballad CD would be breath-taking. This CD, though, is a nice introduction to the style and ethereal world of Bondy Chiu and I recommend it. As for younger people not liking it...it depends. I am young and I like it even though I did note repeatedly how old the songs sound. On some, even the recording is sub-standard and she sounds like she is singing from a long way away...probably due to the recording techniques of the time. I think that STYLE PREFERENCE of the listener (ballads) will determine who likes this more than AGE of the listener. And you do have to prepare yourself as you put this into the CD player that you are going to be hearing almost retro-feeling songs because of the dates they were originally recorded. But, my hope is that this compilation means Bondy is BACK and planning on something new. I will DEFINITELY buy a new CD by her and I bet it will be marvelous. This is nice, but new songs would be even better! Admire Bondy...she is immensely talented in ANY generation. Truly. Wonderfully gifted.

Ever since I bought her "Best to Take it Slow" compilation, I've been looking forward to a new CD of hers. I agree with her fellow artists Eason and Wyman that she was underrated and deserved much more recognition and success. Hopefully this new compilation will introduce her to a new generation of fans. All of her great songs are here: "A Love Affair With No Regrets," "Claim as My Own," "Looking for Happiness," etc. But apart from enjoying these great songs for their melodies (and in the case of the last song mentioned above, the fantastic lyric by Lin Xi), take time to appreciate how she's able to create a character and convey that across in each song. (This, I think, is what makes her remake of Kelly's hit such a success: Kelly's delivery is more traditional, K-style, whereas Bondy actually gives you a vivid sense of the character of the "narrator" of the song.) My only quibble is that this CD does not contain "Story of the Fallen Angel" ("Tsak Sin Gei"), which is an absolutely mindblowing song with a funky beat and edgy, daring lyric that perfectly captures the sense of decadence in the music.
