March 13, 2006 Very UN-Disappointing!I can't believe one of the reviews below is so low. Love Letter is has an excellent story. The view of the story situation for the 3 main characters (the two Woo-Jin's and Eun-Ha) makes it difficult to put any one of them into the typical good-and-evil categories of characters. They all seem a bit selfish in their motivations, but you have sympathy with them and just hope everything comes to some kind of resolution.
I'm happy YA Entertainment picked this title for localization. I probably would have never heard of this drama (along with "Secret" if I had not seen it on thier website because my friends only talk about the other "bigger" series like Winter Sonata and Full House.Did you find this review helpful? Thank goodness it has English subtitles and is Region 1! It saves me the trouble of buying a region-free dvd player! Thanks to the production company who allowed this to be viewed on American dvd players.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Dynamite in (Japan Version)

August 20, 2005 Its a teaser for Dynamite OutThis is a one hour dvd. Half is music, the other half is behind the scenes shots of the band preparing for the Dynamite Out concert.
Since the same songs are found on the other dvd, this dvd isn't really worth a purchase unless you want to watch 30min. of the band goofing off.
Get Dynamite Out! instead and save some money.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Kyoiku (Japan Version)
August 20, 2005 Noise?! Cool!Kyoiku is a natural progression from Ringo's Karuki Samen Kuri no Hana album. Gone are the synth beats from KSK and in come a full band. Just like KSK, Kyoiku is a rock album that is heavily jazz influenced (some say Ringo's music was always jazz influenced since her Muzai Moratorium days) the addition of Mikki (lead guitar), HZM (keyboard), and Hata (Mika Nakashima's drummer) give Tokyo Jihen a low-down dirty and raw sound; good ol' Kameda is playing bass as usual. The perfect combination for rocking!
Songs range from gentle piano numbers to all-out crazyness ("Service" is a jazz song you can mosh to). Some are just strange ("Love for the Homeland").
Ringo has confessed in interviews that she is burnt out from solo work and needs to share the workload. HZM lends a hand and composes 2 tracks for the album. Very Good.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Tommy heavenly6 (CD+DVD)(Limited Edition)(Japan Version)
August 20, 2005 Very GoodAfter her alternate persona did American/British 80's pop, Tomoko gets a little more agressive with the tougher side of Tommy.
If you enjoy Avril Lavigne or Kelly Clarkson kind of pop/punk/alt-rock stylings, then you will really love this. I'm really looking forward to another Brilliant Green album. They haven't announced a break up, so we can all hope!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Ringo to Clover (Japan Version)
November 1, 2002 great albumhana hana could easily blend in with mainstream American music similar in a way to Chihiro Onitsuka's music.
The Makiko and Izumi are an excellent songwriting team. Lots of memorable and strong melodies driven by their standard piano and guitar sound with a slight rock and jazz edge. Hana hana are like Kiroro, but more aggressive(when they want to be).Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
March 14, 2002 Pop Video Game Music?
It's not the first time a track from a video game has become a hit. "Eyes on Me" from Final Fantasy VIII was one of the most recent pop hits. Now, here's a faceless singer named Strawberry Flower (maybe it's a band?) singing the vocal theme from Pikmin, and it's a very catchy song. It's a very soothing, almost psychedelic lullaby that captures the "tiny garden" feeling feeling of the game. It a sweet song, I hope Strawberry Flower releases more songs in the future. Hopefully this isn't a one-time deal, because there's a unique sound here. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

spice (Japan Version)
October 10, 2001 Whoo! Spicy! It seems these two don't know how to write a bad song. Ever since their debut, they've written many moving and uplifting songs. Lyrics and music are poppy, jazzy, bluesy, or rocky. Sometimes it's a combination of the four musical styles. The mix of different instruments they use really do spice up what was probably once a simple piano tune. Hana*Hana is a very different J-Pop band with a unique sound in the same line as the heavily piano-driven Kiroro. But where Kiroro is dramatic and serious, Hana Hana is the opposite; peppy and fun.
