The video quality is great, the sound recording is fantastic, the set and audience are alive and well, and GO!GO!7188 pleases without fail. The drummer, Turkey (Taakii), brings the performance together with tons of energy and rhythm while allowing the two lovely ladies of guitar (Yuu - electric, Akko - bass) to create a massive sonic attack!
There aren't many extras except for the few excellent songs the group plays after the first closing (after "Punk"). I especially love "Hyokkori Hyoutan Jima", which rocks so hard that I found myself in spasms. The true bonus song performance is Akko and Yuu performing "Kaminari ga natte takusan ame ga furu yoru", a more intimately set performance, with Akko and Yuu lounging on pillows. Akko plays the tambourine and a neat accordion-like instrument, and Yuu strokes the acoustic guitar for a change of pace. Both of the girls provide a lovely singing voice.
There isn't as much crowd interaction as in the "9 21 Jiken" concert, but it doesn't matter - GO!GO!7188 lights up the scene with one great performance after another, and the experience is awesome.
If you have a home theater system and nice TV, wait until night, turn out the lights, and then play this DVD with the volume set high. Feel free to rock your socks off!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
