Taiwan songstress A-Lin's previous album Diva won her a Golden Melody Awards nomination for Best Mandarin Female Singer. She is ready to take another shot with her third album, which is titled "Before, After". Known for her pretty looks and a husky voice reminiscent of A-mei Chang, A-Lin pulled out all the stops in recording the new album. Its track list includes the titular first plug "Before, After" written by lyricist Daryl Yao, the rock number "Open the Senses", and the charity single "Family". Here, A-Lin also attempts disco ("Next Please"), R&B ("Complete Romance" composed by Xiao Yu), and writing lyrics ("Happy Life").

The bonus DVD contains 4 music videos from the album.
