Beni Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
Understandably with all new albums a record label wants to be as safe as possible with it so as to not make their first impressions too over powering; but this album, with some tracks, plays it a bit too safe. That isn't to say that this isn't a great album though!

Arashiro Beni has a very interesting style, by blending ballad, hip-hop, disco-dance and a bit of soul to make a truly wonderful genre which Beni completely owns. Some songs that scream her personal blend include Miracle, Give Me Up, Gems, Daphne, Step, Silhouette, and of course her relatively well known Harmony. The CD unfortunately does include some songs which, though quite good, are not exceptionally fitting of the image she is striving for. Songs like True Fighter and Break Out are still excellent in my option but just clash far too much with Beni's soft, mellow style and her soothing soul voice sounds stretched. As has been said by others, this leaves her sounding over gasped and a little pained. They're just a bit too heavy and electronic for her voice and more suited to other singers. The remainder of the tracks are also passable, but their melodies have just been overdone. A few attempts are made to individualise these for Beni but you may find them a bit tiresome.

Her English is perfect, her singing is elegantly refreshing, and Beni's style is truly individual, which will surely be played upon later in her career. This has some very ordinary tracks and if you have the singles already will not add too much to your collection but this is definately a memorable starting point.

A Bit dissapointed Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
Honestly, I expected better from all of the singles that they released. With the releases of "Harmony", "Miracle", "Infinite..", and "Here Alone", I expected a decent album when I purchased it. But I was fairly disapointed when I finally sampled my purchase. Don't get me wrong, Beni's voice is wonderful! She perfectly pronounces her english, and her japanese is fluent (from what I hear) and she has a nice beautiful, melodic voice. But the beats to those soundtracks are awful! Songs like "True Fighter" is a perfect example for this disaster. The music is way to loud, and doesn't at all complement Beni's voice. Really it sounds like she's trying to be heard over the music blasting through. Then songs like Daphne and Gem I really have no idea why they put those sons on the album. They sound just so typical and B-O-R-I-N-G. I really like Beni's voice, but not the direction the record label she is with is taking her. This album did a total flop in Japan, and I don't blame people for not being really interested in this release. Beni is good, but absolutly not the tracks. This album is truly just mediocre, and I suggest to just buy the singles instead.

A Great Debut album Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Beni Arashiro's debut album release may have been a flop but it has great material and variety especially for a debut artist. The first half of the album has her more popular songs which all sound great, but the place where the album truly shines is near the end when Beni's vocals can be heard perfectly with it's compelling beauty and sweetness. I truly love this album and did not expect so much from it. A few songs can get boring because of repetitive sounding vocals but overall the album is very good.
Reccomended Songs
- Here Alone
- True Fighter
- Kiseki
- All the tracks from 8-14 XD
I reccomend this album to people who like their J-pop with hints of j-urban music. This album really reminds me of Kumi Koda's earlier material (mostly her album Grow Into One).
Overall this album would get a 10/10 if her vocals had more range

Not what I expected Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
Beni Arashiro is a great singer. She has a unique voice that I just cannot get tired of. She's also quite beautiful and very honest.
But, that didn't seem to help her much. Her debut album was a complete flop. It sold very poorly, but I don't blame this on Beni, I blame it on her manager and Avex Trax.
Firstly, the album itself. Most of the songs have really outdated tunes and the music is too loud. Because of that Beni has to strain her voice to overpower the music, which isn't very pleasant. Here Alone was cut by a minute, and the album version of Miracle is horrible because they made the background music into something really boring and it makes the song boring. What I also didn't understand was why they put a song like "Oh Happy Day" on this album. I'm don't think that the average Jpop fan is waiting for that, and the obligatory black choir singers just made it awkward.
The only new song on this album that I like is "Step" which is the ending song of the anime "Major". Of course, Harmony is a great song, but you probably already knew that.
In the end, I would suggest not buying this album but trying her Harmony or Here Alone singles. It's a shame that Avex released this on the same day as Koda Kumi's secret album, and didn't give Beni any publicity.
