Nana releases a "Best Of" album after 2 albums and 1 mini-album. I was a bit skeptical of this release since I figured it was a bit to early for her to release a "Best" album. But to ease the hunger of us fans Nana included "LOVE YOUR MONEY", "Antoinette Blue", and revised versions of "Alice" and "Kesenai Tsumi" to apease us. "Alice" and "Kesenai Tsumi" are turned into rock songs and are far different from their pop counterparts. It is an acquired taste when you listen to the different version's of these two popular Nana songs. They depend purely on if you are a fan of the origianl "Pop" styled music or if you like "Rock" as well. 'LOVE YOUR MONEY" is a cover song originally done by "Daisy Chainsaw". Nana sings in a child-like voice that is reminiscent of fellow J-Rock artist "Kana". The other tracks included in this album are nothing new and can be heard on her previous album's and single's. Though her latest single released before "Berry Berry SINGLES" titled "Antoinette Blue" is included as well as being an extended version. If you've ordered the DVD version of this album you are in for a real treat. The DVD album includes Backstage and performance footage of her trip to Paris, France and footage of her recording the revised version's of "Alice", "Kesenai Tsumi", and 'LOVE YOUR MONEY". Inside of the booklet is a nice photoshoot of Nana wearing her now trademark lolita styled clothing. I really enjoy Nana's releases, and "Berry Berry SINGLES" is no exception. I recommend this "Best" album, expecially the DVD footage. |
