Fantastic - Best 2nd Session
Fantastic - Best 2nd Session
| Koda Kumi's Best Second Session is fantastic. This is the 12 singles collection all on one glorious CD disc. The one I got comes with a mini glossy photo book with gorgeous photos of Koda Kumi and her two dogs. Cute! The songs are all fantastic. Once again some fantastic catchy dance tunes and some slow songs. Love this album. |

Must buy!

If you haven't bought all of the 12 singles, then you should definitely buy this! Or, you should just buy it for "Love goes like..." because it's definitely worth it! Track overview: Introduction to the second session - A short clip of "Get It On", which wasn't on the album. D.D.D. - Catchy, Lady Marmalade-ish. you - A very lovely ballad. Sad, but all the same lovely. Candy feat. Mr. Blistah - Very catchy, arabian track. Shake It Up - Not my favorite track, but nice still. feel - A nice, jazz-like track. WIND - It's an OK song, not great though. Still nice to have on the album. I've listened to it a fair amount of times. Love goes like... - Definitely my favorite track from the album! Hip-hopish, and very very catchy. No regret - A nice pop song, with a bit of techo-sounds to it. Birthday Eve - A very girly, poppy song. I think it could have, maybe, been replaced. Lies - Very nice song. A great touch to the rest of the album. Ima Sugu Hoshii - I guess a lot of people don't like this song, but I like it during certain moods. KAMEN feat. Testuya Ishii - A very lovely ballad. Wonderful arrangement, and Testuya Ishii's vocals to add to it is a nice touch. Someday - A nice ending track. Touching, in a way. |

I know you guys are probably tired of me leaving reviews but this is the last one. This one is about the second DVD ehich came with second session. The DVD is a concert of Kumi's first things tour. It starts off with a opening at Osaka with two bunnies. A blue bunny and a pink bunny. The bunnies are giving little Kumi stuff. Then the start the concert. The first three perfomances Butterfly, Cutie Honey, and Chase are very cute and Kumi lookes like she's having a lot of fun. The next perfomance Gentle Words calms down everyone. Then Kumi's attitude changes from dirty to emotional in the pefomances and she sings Heat,Hot Stuff, Crazy 4 U, hands, NO TRICKS, Rain, m.a.z.e, Selfish, Promise, Star, Trust your Love, and Come with Me. Then she finishes of the concert with the perfomances of real Emotion, the meaning of peace, flower, and walk. A few things I would like to add is that this album is a total success Kumi all I have to tell you is to go buy the album and support her because I am very confident that she will be somewhere in the Top 5 or 10 best albums in 2006. And if you do not have the limited edition for second session get it before they all sell out. |

I know I just put a review up, but I would like to say a few things about the first DVD that came with second session. The first DVD has all 12 of Kumi's single collection music video's. THe first video is you which is the first part of four video telling a story in the single collection. you is a very sad video the first time I saw it I cried. Its starts off with three guys talking to each other than it goes to the music which one of the three guys is having a relationship with Kumi and it starts falling apart so Kumi leaves him at the end of the video and he goes to look for her. Then it goes back to the three guys talking again. Te next video Candy starts of with a introduction of Kumi being a princess a Mr.Blistah comes to save her. The video has Kumi in a seat with a dragon around her and dancers that are on the floor get up and start dancing. Then the scene changes to Kumi and backup dancers dressed in red dancing for the first verse of the song. Then Mr.Blistah does his rap and the scene changes to Kumi and the dancers dancing in Blue with swords. At the end of the video it has a ending where Kumi disappears and the dragon turns into Kumi's dog and walks down the hall. And at the end of the video it says Kumi went to Earth to find happiness and love. The next video Imasugu Hoshi is not my kind a video but it goes to what the song is saying so I won't bother explaning it. The next video Birthday Eve is really cute. It has Kumi making a cake for a guy she likes and a guy working out to impress Kumi but Kumi doesn't like him. The video is mostly in pink and at the end Kumi gets with the guy she likes and the guy working out gets his hearts broken. The fifth video feel is the second part of the story which has the three guys talking again. The video mostly has Kumi and that other guy she was with thinking about there relationship since they broke up. The scene then goes back to the three guys talking. The next video is D.D.D. which is kinda disturbing. So disterbing I'm not going to tell you about it. The next video is KAMEN which is boring, but very well put together it has Kumi wearing a white mask and Tetsuya Ishii wearing a black mask and they both are singing to each other while holding the mask on there faces. The next video is WIND which is like Birthday Eve because it is very cute and on some parts its sad. The video has Kumi and her dog inventing stuff, but everything they invent brakes or turns out horrible. The video has a lot of animation in it. And at the end Kumi and her dog finally succed by making a giant flower that eats Kumi at the end of the video. The next video is Lies which is the third part of the series. In the video Kumi Is dating another guy from the three guys talking in the video. Which like the other relationship things aren't working out. So at the end of the video she walks out on the new guy and then there is another scene with the three guys talking and that is the last time we see all three of them talking together. The next video is No Regret which I think is very good. In the video Kumi is in a room filled with light then the scene changes to Kumi walking into a club and dancing with two backup dancers and they keep on showing these scenes till close till the end when Kumi is fighting a bunch of guys in a dress. The next video which is Shake It Up is my most disliked video on the DVD. The video has Kumi dancing with a dress on and two other Kumi's dancing with work outfits on. The last video is Someday which is the fourth part of the series in this video both guys are trying to get back with Kumi which is working out well and in the end it a happy ending. The only thing about it is that it doesn't say whicch guy she got with because it shows evidence that she's with both guys (I hope it was the first one). |

Second Session is AMAZING
|
Second Session is awsome. This album has showed Koda Kumi fans eveything. From how she feels when she's sad, angry, emotional, happy, and everything else that you can not put into words. O.K. Let's get on about the album the first song which is Introduction to the second session is a great way to start the album. The second song D.D.D. featuring SOULHEAD is a amazing a fun song. The song really reminds me of the American song Lady Marmalade sung by Pink, Mya, Lil' Kim, Christina Aguilera, and Missy Elliot. The third song you is a amazing song that has so much emotion when you listen to it. The fourth song Candy featuring Mr.Blistah is really cool and I can tell this is one of Kumi's favorite songs she recorded on the album. Next song on #5 is Shake It Up which was really catchy. #6 is feel which is a really good song (Besides the fact Kumi sings the whole chorus in Englsih really fast and its kinda hard to understand her). #7 is WIND which is a really fun song to sing along to. #8 is Love Goes Like... which was the one of the songs that is not a single is amazing. I had no idea what it was going to be like and I fell in love with it the first time I heard it. I really think its better than some of the singles on the album. The ninth song on the list is No Regret which is Amazing. The beat to it is really catchy. #10 is Birthday Eve which is a really cute song. The whole song makes me think Kumi is a little kid. #11 is Lies which sounded kinda strande to me because of the beat, but besides that I love it. #12 is Imasugu Hoshi is really good even though its not my type of song. The thirteenth song KAMEN featuring Tetsuya Ishii is one of my favorites because it really sounds like a soul song. #14 is Someday is good and its a good song to end with for her single collection. The last song on the album which is a new song called A Whole New World is a new version of the theme song to the Disney movie Alladin is good and its also features Peabo Bryson. The last thing I've got to say is that this album is Amazing and you should get it as soon as you have the chance cause it will blow you away. |

Kuuchan: Jpop's NEW Queen!
| BEST ~second session~ is a gorgeous album (or best of) filled with songs of many demensions and different sides of Kumi. In Birthday Eve and Shake It Up, Kuuchan explores her cute side by singing in a cute voice and having a cute PVs to match. They are both bubbly songs that show her fans that in addition to being a sexy diva, she can be cute like the rest of them! But her fans who love her sexy side are not to be disappointed, with songs like DDD, which features pop-rock influences and a simple proclaimation of "I want to make my dream come true!", Candy, which has Middle Eastern influences in both the song and PV (the PV even has a cute little storyline on it, spoken in English, the "hip" language, and written in Japanese on the screen), and the PV-less Love goes like..., with a nice "hip-pop" beat. And she offers up ballads as well, such as the ever popular you, the overly sexual Ima Sugu Hoshii (with WANT ME, WANT ME-esque lyrics) and others. People who want real, raw talent and are tired of untalented "singers" (more appropriately, squealers) such as the overrated Ayumi Hamasaki need to check this girl out! |

Fantastic! Kumi is the best!
| I really love all of these songs! They are funny and serious and hilarious! The PVs are a little naughty but who cares if there shows a little skin :) The Live is nice too. I'm really lucky that I got this LIMITED edition! Too bad I wasn't quick enough for the Japanese Version.. Well, if you are a true Kumi-fan, you gotta have this in your collection!! Go Koda Kumi! |

~second session~
| So... I bought ~first things~... it was my first serious contact with Koda Kumi... I fell in love so much that... I instantly preordered all of the 12 singles project. The project itself made me love Ku even more... I should be pretty angry that all the songs from the singles which I bought are being released on an album. But I'm not - I AM SO HAPPY! The album is great! It contains all a-sides from the 12 singles, contains one new song which is brilliant - "Love goes like..." is one of my favourite Ku songs ever. The CD contains one introduction and one bonus track - a theme from Alladin the movie. The DVDs - first one contains PVs... wonderful 12 PVs! I love them! It's great that they are released! The second DVD is the ~first things~TOUR. I find it not as entertaining as the "secret LIVE" but it was also nice to watch! Overal - i'm loving this! And I can't wait for new releases! |

Great Package!
| So I bought this CD by chance. I was just browsing, came across it and decided to buy it. I was hesitating about buying the DVD version but said, "why not." Well, I am glad I got the whole package! This cd really is great. I am not a fan of hip hop/ r&b at all. I don't know if it is the fact that I don't speak Japanese that let me listen to the cd with an open mind or what, but I love every track on here. Really nice production. Great beats, beautiful singing and amazing songs. I popped the DVD's in and was really amazed. I am not sure if it is because my home theater sytem is much better or what, but again, the DVD's were awesome. It was like a journey into the music on a whole new front. I am not a fan of music videos either. I gotta say, this album is a must buy for any jpop curious person. Get it with the dvd's though. It is a musical journey! |

New Queen of J-Pop
| Even though I am a die hard Kumi Koda fan...I can honestly say this album is EXCELLENT. She set out to show that she can handle all types of musical genres and she proved her point. Its almost like what can't this girl do. She has a lil somethin for everytype of fan from R&B to ballads to pop. Plus you get all the videos for each song one 1 dvd and a concert dvd too, so she rewards her fans and new listeners for support.. promise it's woth every dollar :) |
