Fantastic - Best 2nd Session
Fantastic - Best 2nd Session
| Koda Kumi's Best Second Session is fantastic. This is the 12 singles collection all on one glorious CD disc. The one I got comes with a mini glossy photo book with gorgeous photos of Koda Kumi and her two dogs. Cute! The songs are all fantastic. Once again some fantastic catchy dance tunes and some slow songs. Love this album. |

Must buy!
|
If you haven't bought all of the 12 singles, then you should definitely buy this! Or, you should just buy it for "Love goes like..." because it's definitely worth it! Track overview: Introduction to the second session - A short clip of "Get It On", which wasn't on the album. D.D.D. - Catchy, Lady Marmalade-ish. you - A very lovely ballad. Sad, but all the same lovely. Candy feat. Mr. Blistah - Very catchy, arabian track. Shake It Up - Not my favorite track, but nice still. feel - A nice, jazz-like track. WIND - It's an OK song, not great though. Still nice to have on the album. I've listened to it a fair amount of times. Love goes like... - Definitely my favorite track from the album! Hip-hopish, and very very catchy. No regret - A nice pop song, with a bit of techo-sounds to it. Birthday Eve - A very girly, poppy song. I think it could have, maybe, been replaced. Lies - Very nice song. A great touch to the rest of the album. Ima Sugu Hoshii - I guess a lot of people don't like this song, but I like it during certain moods. KAMEN feat. Testuya Ishii - A very lovely ballad. Wonderful arrangement, and Testuya Ishii's vocals to add to it is a nice touch. Someday - A nice ending track. Touching, in a way. |

Relieved
| I was very relieved when I heard this album. I havent really liked any of KKs albums that much since Grow Into One, but this one is finally one that I can say I really did enjoy. I would say that this is because KK has returned on this album to more of the sound that made her great when she first started- pop with just a little bit of hip/hop attitude. Just enough to make it interesting. On Secret, I think she tried to add too much of that and it just didnt work for me. She still hasnt gone back to making songs like Pearl Moon, Maze, and Ranhansha, but I still like the sound shes chosen to accentuate this time around. I really felt that the middle of this album, from track 5 to about 11 was the strongest showing for this endeavor. Towards the end, there are a few slower ballads, that, though theyre pretty well-sung, I kind of lost interest in. Especially the whole Peabo Bryson duet of A Whole New World. Im sorry, but that just didnt impress me. All in all, though, this was a very good album and am glad to see this style and quality from KK once again. |

Simply the best!
Simply the best!
| This album will be proof of Koda Kumi's greatness. There will be no filer on this album. Every track has been cafefully written and composed, many of the songs being penned by Kumi herself. Each one of her 12 singles will be on here including a new song and a bonus track "A Whole New World". This is definitely the best Koda Kumi album so far! |
