Surprisingly Great Album! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I have heard Kumi Koda's earlier songs and have not been the biggest fan. However when I listened to this album, I was very impressed. Kumi's new CD does not fail to please. If you are looking for a CD with a mix of R&B, upbeat songs and ballads then buy this. Every song is worth the money. You will love it. This is Kumi's best CD album by far. You will not be disappointed.

PV Sync, what's that? Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
While I did like all of the songs on this CD minus A Whole New World, sorry but Peabo Bryson's singing just made her voice as well as her English seem TERRIBLE. I never thought that I'd want to criticize Ku for her lack of singing skills before I heard this song. Otherwise her singing is great. Some of the videos didn't even match her lipsync as well. Other than that, Ku is so cute during her concert. The videos were all pretty good and you can understand the 'storyline' of all the guys talking in a bar that continues through the whole DVD even if you don't know a lot of Japanese you can get the point. Over all, I'm glad I got this before the "double deal" came into effect bringing the price of First Things and Second Session down so that you don't get free shipping unless you buy another item... smart, very smart marketing on YesAsia's part.

Fantastic! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I did consider buying each of the singles for this, but they sold out so quickly I didn't have chance! I was pleased when I found out that they were bringing out another collection in addition to 'First Things'. This is a great addition.

I definately would recommend paying the extra for this CD. You get the 12 singles on one Disc (Plus a few extra songs), the 12 Videos on another and then the Tour on the last one. The Tour is out of this world, she is on top form and sings the hits from 'First Things' and a few extras.

BUY THIS! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Pleasantly surprised~ Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I recently bought this, mostly because of the fact it was 2 DVDs and 1 CD.
Aside from her single "ima sugu hoshii" of the 12, I hadn't paid much attention to any of the others.
But after I bought this, I can say I honestly like everyone of them!! Anyone who likes Kouda Kumi should purchase this. All the PVs are fun to watch (Lies is especially funny... the ending!!) and the live concert is really good too... she genuinely sings well live. ^^

Relieved Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I was very relieved when I heard this album. I haven’t really liked any of KK’s albums that much since Grow Into One, but this one is finally one that I can say I really did enjoy. I would say that this is because KK has returned on this album to more of the sound that made her great when she first started- pop with just a little bit of hip/hop attitude. Just enough to make it interesting. On Secret, I think she tried to add too much of that and it just didn’t work for me. She still hasn’t gone back to making songs like Pearl Moon, Maze, and Ranhansha, but I still like the sound she’s chosen to accentuate this time around. I really felt that the middle of this album, from track 5 to about 11 was the strongest showing for this endeavor. Towards the end, there are a few slower ballads, that, though they’re pretty well-sung, I kind of lost interest in. Especially the whole Peabo Bryson duet of A Whole New World. I’m sorry, but that just didn’t impress me. All in all, though, this was a very good album and am glad to see this style and quality from KK once again.

Koda Kumi has come such a long way. Theres no better word to desribe this album than WOW! Her songs are very inspirational and her voice is just amazing.WHAT A HIT!!!!!!!!!!

plus you get a bonus from her last best album. isn't it great!!!!!!

These past 12 weeks were the most important weeks for any music fan. Each single was brillantly put together, from the beautiful ballad "you" to the soft pop finale, "Someday". I finally recieved my CD+2DVD JPN version and its definitely worth the price! Expensive, yes. But you get so much, because she is just amazing live and each and every PV is enjoyable, especially the 4-part mini movie: you, feel, lies & someday. D.D.D. is a fast paced song featuring Soulhead, a nice ladies anthem. I like it. "you" is my favorite Koda Kumi song, hands down, the lyrics are okay, but it's how she sings the song with so much emotion and feeling that really captures me. And the PV featuring Takashi Tsukamoto is sweet & sad. WIND vs. Birthday Eve? WIND & Birthday Eve are the very bubble gum j-girl pop, but WIND is better than Birthday Eve, song and PV-wise. Candy reminds me of Hot Stuff for some reason, I don't know why, because they don't sound a like at all, but it's a pretty cool song with a influential hip hop sound. Lies & feel both have there equal share of Koda's ever popular Engrish, I actually thought the line "feeling free and just close to me" was "pretty pretty angels close to me" T_T and in lies she said "i just want you babe" and I thought it was "i just want you back boy" But they are still GREAT songs. The PVs represent the cute-sexy-sweet-mellow sides of Koda Kumi. They are all interesting PVs, and I agree that honestly this isn't her best work (secret is her best work, IMO) because of the unwanted songs like Birthday Eve, No regret and Kamen. The live DVD is so good!! "hands" was the best of course. Singing "A whole new world" was interesting, because I still haven't gotten used to her English. She tried a little too hard, it wasn't my favorite. I recommend this CD for anyone and everyone who loves music, no matter what your style is because she will capture your heart. Koda Kumi is truly a musical genius, everything she touches turns to gold and her music/voice is easy to enjoy.

I highly recommend this version of Kumi's BEST -second session-. You get all the first press goodies (special booklet + 2 postcards) and the LTD CD+2DVD version.

I love all the songs on this album with D.D.D being my favorite and Kamen being my least favorite. The live tour included with this set is awesome! Ku didn't dance quite as much as she did in the Secret tour but that resulted in more singing. It's great! The concert is very entertaining and the costumes are very sexy and cute!

So, if you can't afford the Japan version of this album then this is the perfect alternative!!
