Joker is a Taiwan indie band formed in 2004 by college students Taiyan (vocalist), Xiaohe (guitarist), Akai (bassist), and Vincent (drummer). At first, they mainly covered Japanese acts like X Japan and Judy & Mary, as all four of them were huge fans of Japan music. They started to write their own original numbers beginning from 2005, and have since gained popularity with their J-pop-influenced sound, participating in music festivals like the Hohaiyan Rock Festival and becoming a recognized force in Taiwan's indie scene. Joker's first full-length album Bet on it!! comes with 12 songs, including the titular track Bet on it!!, the highly requested Internet hit "Let Go", plus Runaway, their contest-winning song that kick-started their career in 2006.
