Beyond certainly deserves a page in Hong Kong's music history. Formed in 1983 as just an underground band, Beyond soon rose to become a popular music group in Hong Kong and remain so until today. Their songs, positive and reassuring, have encouraged generations of Hong Kong people for 22 years. Regrettably this legendary Hong Kong music group has just been disbanded in February 2005 after Beyond The Story Live concert. However, their fans and music lovers can still enjoy Beyond's marvelous music with this significant and memorable concert now captured on Beyond the Story Live 2005 Karaoke DVD! Also featuring Beyond and Tai Chi, the two most popular bands in the 80s, jamming the magnificent song "Red Sports Car".

In Beyond The Story Live concert, the band first charmed their fans with some of their earlier works, such as "Farewell my Dream" and "Arabic Dancing Girl". The three then amused the audience with their essential tunes and all-time favorites, such as "Lover", "Armani", "Boundless Sea and Sky", etc. The concert reached its climax when Beyond sang with their fans "There's Always Love", which concluded this wonderful concert, leaving the audience speechlessly amazed.

BEYOND must always have Ka Kui spirit with them Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
I agree with all those review given. This is suppose to be the final or farewell concert by Beyond, yet they didnt include the Ka Kui talking part. In the 2003 concert we get to see a lazer projection of Ka Kui singing together with the rest of Beyond. That is something they should do then include it in any format for us to keep as a collection. I'm sure many of us miss Ka Kui and would like to see him included in the last concert by Beyond as a colletion that we can keep.Finally, i hope we can get to see the full version soon or maybe they can put out a 2nd version with those edited part especially the Ka Kui talking clips then include some extra for example the making of the concert and maybe some documentary about Beyond then it will be great to be as a collection to all beyond's fans for the last concert from the last band from H.K. BEYOND.

BEYOND Is Ka Kui, Sai Wing, Paul And Ka Keung Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I have just received my DVD from YesAsia.com. I must say they're quite fast in fulfilling orders, it took less than a week to reach me (in KL).

Anyway, I've seen the concert couple of times. There are some points of dissatisfaction. Especially with the way it's being filmed. There are many instances where Paul was doing guitar solos and the camera simply shoots other angle. This is somewhat unprofessional, although there are a few songs where this is untrue - like I'm Angry and Silent Years.

On top of that, I think Paul's guitar volume was too low. As compared to any other concerts in the past. This is also the case in BEYOND Live 2003 in Malaysia held in Merdeka Stadium. I think even Paul himself can barely hear what he's playing.

Also, since this is BEYOND's farewell concert they shouldn't have taken out Ka Kui's speech. I can understand if in between films have to be edited, but Ka Kui's speech is the pinnacle of the whole concert! This gives an impression that BEYOND can go without Ka Kui, which is not true. BEYOND is BEYOND, BEYOND is forever a Ka Kui, Sai Wing, Paul and Ka Keung. I'm very dissapointed!

However, I'm partly relief that the concert DVD contains Alright Alright, Wake Up, Animal Fight and Take Your Hands Away. The scenes were great as there were so many special effects in place.

In my opinion, some of the best songs in this DVD (musically) are Young Blood, Those Were The Days, Wish I Could, wake Up, Infernal Affairs, and Cagemen. The not-so-good songs are Who Will Venture With Me, I Do Love You and Amani which is totally out of timing.

If I may compare BEYOND's concert thoughout the years, this isn't the worst but it's not the best either. But no matter what, I'll still recommend this if you're a BEYOND fan. It is a good buy, BEYOND put in a lot of effort to make this concert a success and like Ka Keung said it's a perfect ending for BEYOND. 10 or 20 years from now, whoever talks about rock band - they will talk about BEYOND. Good but not perfect Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Just out of respect and my love for them, I gave the product a 10 (plus I was at the concert in the US) But compared to the 2003 Live cd, this one feels much less professional. The quality is just not at par (and it's 2 years newer... I wonder why) The editing is also somewhat annoying with quick cuts slanted camera angles... etc. Once again the editing was much better in the 03 concert. Also like many others mentioned the MISSING SONGS!!!! my goodness they decide to cut out one of my fav songs! (alloy madman? hahah bad translation) I mean why make the Karaoke dvd on a seperate dvd? I thought the set up with the 03 was perfect, with the different audio tracks and subtitles for HALF a concert on ONE dvd. ANyways I hope they release teh whole concert later :)

BEYOND Is In My Blood Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Like Steve Love, I started to like BEYOND since 1991. That's when they came to Malaysia for their very first official concert. And love them ever since! I got plenty of interviews with Ka Kui around, mostly recorded from Hong Kong's radio show with long distance calls to Japan. And Steve was very funny, he claimed he's dying to return to Hong Kong. But I really envy you having Ka Keung personally do his profile for you. The best thing I ever got their autograph on my guitar and Paul's pick from last years concert in Genting Highland - he actually remember me from the old concerts. And last I stood with them for photography session where I Ka Keung had his hand around my shoulder - it was awesome!

I want to watch non-cut version! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I'm totally agree with " Life time Beyond Fan". I've been their fan since.. well not 1983, but from 1989/90 and I didn't have much chance to see their live, either. Especially like me, I am not living in H.K. I've heard that many songs are cut, but also I've heard that in concert, there is a scene which they showed audience the home video of Ka-kui when they were in Japan before the accident happened. But this one is also cut, so little bit sad.. I wanted to watch this home video too because while they were in Japan, I was there too, and I have a lot of memories with them, especially Steve!! He even parsonally helped me to make my own " Ka-keung profile", he wrote it down, made his profile for me and sent it to my house by mail! However, the next time I had met him was at his brother's funeral. :( It was so hard to get their CD or DVD in 1990's especially people who don't live in HK, and don't have much money, like student in those days. So just like " Lifetime Beyond Fan" said, I should not be able to be greedy...at least, I could get this DVD and even a part of the show, I could watch Steve was playing and singing, so maybe I sould be more greatful..? At least I have my own treasure which was sent by Steve! I think they did really good job, very touching, however if I could be little bit greedy, I wish the DVD had a English or mandarin translations as subtitle , so that I could understand what they were talking in the concert...because I only can understand English and Mandarin, I don't understand Cantonese... Is someone help me to translate what they had said in concert, so that I could understand??
