Big Bang are definitely worth every penny! With a catchy lead single in "Haru Haru" - Stand Up is a fantastic mini album and for all the music lovers out there, this is a great CD to have in your collection! It provides a range of music genres and the quality of the songs are fab!!! Great vocals and rapping from the five talented boys! The songs are super smooth and will be stuck in your head after a few listens! Big bang have proven that they are a force to be reckoned with in the South Korean music industry! Thumbs Up!! |

Even though Big Bang originally debuted as a "hip-hop" group (in a hip-hop based company, YG), due to the success of both "Lies" and "Last Farewells" - we now know their capability of going beyond their "so-called" limitations. Big Bang is no longer bound to one genre, and through this album - once again, they have prove that they, as a group, has no limits. "Day By Day", to me, is a sadder/more meaningful version of "Lies". You can't help but be captivated by its soft piano melody throughout the song and their emotions in their raps/vocals. In this song, Big Bang matured so much in expressing their feelings. "Heaven" starts out with a dramatic melody, but once you hear the techno-feel, you can't help but smile to it - basically it is a very feel-good song. Not losing their roots, Big Bang offers "Stand Up" and "Lady" as their hip-hop genre tracks. "Oh My Friend" is a rock song, in which they collaborated with No Brain to celebrate the Olympics. This song probably caused the most controversy, because BB is moving a lot further away from their usual - BUT - surprisingly, their version of hip-hop/rock combination mash very well. "Good Man" (composed by Teddy of 1TYM and TOP) is a bossa-nova genre - surprising, isn't it? Don't get it wrong, this song is not the type that captures you immediately, give it a few more listens - then you might end up liking it a lot more. All-in-all, this mini-album offers so much to pass up on. Where can you get a mini-album that offers four or five different genres, with each tracks capable of giving itself justice? In my opinion, only Big Bang can go to that extent ---- and be successful with it. |

Firstly I just registered... simply to review this album.. =) Whaaaaaaaaaaa I AM IN LOVE.. I seriously think this album is great! I mean yes it's different.. but different is immense.. the track that has got me going has to be Track 05: LADY.. it is so catchy, which is why for me it is on a constant PLAYBACK! The beats...just WOW... ps.. Kwon Ji.. Yong.. wrote the song!! Track 02: Haru Haru Day After Day .. Has to be the new lies, so fast... yet slow.. BIG BANG... does show new style over & over again. I AGREE.... IT IS A MUST BUY.. whaaa.. **goes off to purchase BB Stand Up Mini Album** =) |

| I've heard all of the songs so far, tho the cd wasn't out yet!! WHAA!!! I was so excited when i listened to Haru Haru, then Heaven! After that, i listened to all of the songs. I can never get tired from it!!! I listened to it 24/7!! Where ever i go, i listen to them. :D Go BIG BANG..I LOVE THEM ALL!! |

I haven't buy this but I've heard all the songs. Honestly, it's different from Last Farewell & Lies. It's not so techno-ish, not so disco-ish, beat isn't so fast but it's BANGIN' GOOOOD!! Like seriously!! The very first time I consider buying a mini-album!! Haru haru and Choen Guk is really awesome songs. I just can't stop listening to it!! And others are good as well. Btw, Oh My Friend is really different from most K-boyband genre I've heard. It's soft rock I guess? Kinda reminds me of Simple Plan/Boys Like Girls because of that kind of 'shouting' in the song. |

regardless of your typical genre of music, anyone & EVERYONE will come to respect these boys because they're HOT, they're TALENTED, they're YOUNG, and they're BANGING. i've only heard the intro, yet i know this album's gonna be hot as hell so DON'T HESITATE TO PURCHASE. if you can buy your dbsg poster for 12 dollars, 12 dollars for this brilliant album should be nothing! it's worth it, i swear. & if it's not, then hell, i'll commit suicide. :) |
