March 5, 2008 NOT the droid u r looking for!This is not the original 4-hour long version of the Jacques Rivette`s film. Beware. This is the 2-hour shorter version the director came up with.
I will leave the final word to IMDb, where this is what it says under Plot Outline:
"Divertimento" is a shorter version of the 1991 "La Belle noiseuse". All the material different of "La Belle noiseuse" (lighting, shot, angle, editing).

I was not familiar with the director`s work before the film won Golden Bear at Berlin Film Festival. Apart from "Story Of A Weeping Camel", I have not seen the Mangolian region with its culture, tradition, rituals that prominently on the international scene.
