I've Never Reviewed This Album~ Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I remember when she came out with Black Cherry. As soon as news of its release came about, I knew I wanted it. I preordered it and waited impatiently for its arrival.

This is one of my favourite Kuu albums ever!! The Introduction drags you in (it's Black Cherry, for those of you who have heard Kingdom).

Get Up & Move!! is definately worth the buy! The MV, too! The song's so much fun to dance to and learning the moves is so much fun! Ningyo-hime is so rock oriented. Rock suits her!

I still can't listent to 'Yume no Uta' without bawling. That ballad is so powerful. I still wonder why 'Futari de...' wasn't on this album, though.

Tsuki to Taiyou is just a pretty song. You can't describe it. Then you have 'Puppy' and I love this song! It was the CM music for VISEE.

Koi no Tsubomi is still one of my favourite Kuu-Pop songs and WON'T BE LONG is perfect to follow it.

JUICY is still a wicked dance track. We all know Koochan can do sexy! :D Candle Light is a nice soft song that follows nicely and Cherry Girl still puts me in the mood to go to a bar. X3 I'll be There is a nice soft, relaxing tune that is very nice on the ears and Unmei still makes me cry! ;-;

With Your Smile just puts you in a good mood and Milk Tea (Koda Kumi's first self-composed song) is gorgeous! I still love TWINKLE and GO WAY!! is just fun.

Then you have the PVs which own! So hard! I love the menu setup, too. This is also the version where Kuu starred in her first drama - Cherry Girl. I love this drama! Really I do! It's so intriguing and you don't have to understand Japanese to understand it.

And I love the booklet pictures! They show how Kuu can go from sexy to elegant and it shows this woman's talent! Go Kuu for a great album in 2006! There's a reason this album sold 1.5 million copies!

Koda rocks!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The only bad thing about this album is that it left me wanting so much more! I`m so glad there`s Kingdom too!
I love all the songs and the MVs. There is so much great music here! The songs are all very different from eachother but it does not get confusing, for Kuu puts so much energy and effort into each track and clearly enjoy playing all these different roles. My favourite track is Get Up and Move but they`re all stunning. I can`t wait to see the concert tour DVD and I wish Koda all the best!!! Please keep making us happy!!!

Nice album! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I became a Koda Kumi fan after her Kingdom album and decided to see what her earlier work sounded like. Plus, after seeing the Black Cherry Tour and liking most of the songs, I definitely wanted this album. ^^()

I have to say that this album is pretty good. Though I love Kingdom more, this one does not disappoint. The ballads are nice and Get Up & Move is the perfect dance track. ^^

I bought this version for the MVs and most of them are nicely done. It's a good way to see Kuu right before her Kingdom transformation. I also liked how this album has so many tracks. 18 songs is quite a lot for an asian album! O_O This also has everything from ballad, to rock, to dance, to jazz...it's simply Koda Kumi. ^_^

There's a reason that this album hit number one on the charts; it's AMAZING. The songs are wonderful, new and old, and her Cherry Girl drama is great! I've never been more addicted to Kuu than I am after getting this. It's a definate worthwhile buy!!

Not-so-good surprise Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
Upon seeing the covers and title for this album, I became so excited and interested. (you see! I thought it was going to be a cool dance album) my goodness, i was in for a surprise...but not the good kind!

"Get Up & Move!" is the funniest song I've ever heard!!! I can't think of it as cool, but I love love love the beat and Kumi's voice sounds nice. Yet, the lyrics are sooooo funny!! *giggles* ENGRISHY too. Don't really like it. "JUICY" is okay, but is only worth mentioning the music. "Cherry Girl" is addictive, but not amazing. "Puppy" and "Tsuki to Taiyou" are the best new tracks. Most all the other songs are really pop, but not done well because Kumi seems to distort her lovely vocals to fit the 'cute cute' disposition. It's like nails on a chalkboard. >_< !!!! GRRR!

Kumi had released such good albums previously, but this was pretty horrible in comparison! x_x The PVs & Movie on the 2DVDs were pretty bad too! =( I know "Kingdom" will be better!!!!!!! n_n-V I have hope! Anyyyyyyyyyway! If I can go back and order this again, I would've only got the CD edition with no DVDs. Oh yea! The picture booklet isn't very pretty either... T_T Weird hairstyles, bad outfits, and funny facial expressions.

I suppose this is either a love or hate album. Wooooooooo! n_n''' I bet you can guess how I feel about it! (i apologize if i offend anyone) I do appreciate Kumi trying to compose though! I hope she does it more in the future!!!!!!!!!

Good album Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Koda Kumi's 5th album is definately worth buying, but not as good as some of her other albums (namely Secret and affection). It features songs from all her 2006 singles: Koi no Tsubomi, 4 hot wave, Yume no Uta/Futari de..., and Cherry Girl/Unmei.

1. INTRODUCTION - Cool hip-hop beat, nice intro. 3/5
2. Get Up & Move!! - Dance song, great vocals. 5/5
3. Ningyo Hime - Aggressive rock song. 5/5
4. Yume no Uta - Moving ballad, decent vocals. 4/5
5. Tsuki to Taiyou - Very relaxing, R&B song. 3/5
6. Puppy - Upbeat club song. 4/5
7. Koi no Tsubomi - Very cutesy upbeat tempo song. 5/5
8. WON'T BE LONG ~Black Cherry Version~ - Heavy hip-hop song, fits well. 4/5
9. JUICY - Very intricate dance song, nice vocals. 5/5
10. Candle Light - VERY touching ballad. My favorite original song on this album. 5/5
11. Cherry Girl - Catchy pop song, very addictive. I find that it gets old after awhile, though. 3/5
12. I'll be there - Decent slow song, not really a ballad. 4/5
13. Unmei - A bit generic, but very emotional and moving. 4/5
14. With your smile - Very in-your-face pop song. Not that great. 3/5
15. Milk Tea - Nice attempt at Kuu composing, sweet lyrics. 4/5

Perfect Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I have to say that from all of the Albums i experienced so far, this one is perfect.
I love Koda, but it has nothing to do with this album being one of the best things i have ever heared.
The music, lyrics and style are beautifuly arranged, the composed music is amazingly beautiful and Kumi's voice just adds to it! i love the fact she wrote almost all of the songs in it and even COMPOSED one! (Milk&Tea), i can;t wait for her next studio Album! Go Kumi!!!

and now about the DVD's:
DVD 1: has all of the videos she released since second session (beside Futari de...). kind of made me regret i bought "4 hot wave", and i am glad i did not buy "Cherry girl", cause the album contains all of the songs and videos, so be smart when you think about buying them.

DVD 2: wow, the drama is awsome and she looks so good! her acting is awsome and she is really cute! i love her hair and style in every scene!! (though a little advice Kumi, dress up a little, i love you, but there is no need to go so far~ you are sexy in anything you would wear~)

Well, i am glad i bought it, the Limited version sure makes me happy, i love Kumi! my idol! Ero-Kakkoi 4 ever!!

OMG! This is so awesome! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Haha when I first bought this album, I was so excited! I didn't even know there was a drama called Cherry Girl until this album came out... and then I watched it.. THIS IS SOO AWESOME ^_^ Yay! lol

The album, first-off, I think was amazing. I like how she changed styles within the songs because being a fan of hers for a long time (since her Affection album <3) and she has a few different styles and any fan who knows her well knows that they say Koda Kumi all over it. I think this album was worth my money. My favorite song on there of all time is Ningyo Hime. Don't get me wrong, I love all the other songs as well, but the one on my top list is Ningyo Hime. This is worth the money (IMO). ^_^

Buy the regular version... Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
First, don't buy the $50 version of this album unless you are a total Ku fan and have already previewed it...
Over all I love almost every song on the album, but there's something about the album I don't like. Koi no Tsubomi, Cherry Girl, Yume no Uta, and With Your Smile are some of my favorites. And 9 songs on here are A-sides. So then I think, what's wrong with it? I don't know! I think the album is just too "all over the place". In the beginning it goes from hip-hop to rock to ballad to cutesy pop song... it's not integrated too nicely. I think it would sound a lot better if Ku stuck to one type of music, because every song sounds TOTALLY different.
I am a relatively new Koda Kumi fan so I wasn't there for her older releases -- I can't really compare it really to her past albums. Sorry!
