BLEACH DS 2nd Kuroginu Hirameku Chinkonka (Japan Version) Nintendo DS

Kubo Tite's popular shonen manga Bleach returns for its second go-around on the Nintendo DS with Bleach 2nd: Kokui Hirameku Requiem. The popular manga and anime tells the story of Ichigo Kurosaki, a high-school student who, through a twist of fate, crosses path with a Shinigami (or "Death God") named Rukia Kuchiki. In order to save him, Rukia transfers her powers to Ichigo, turning him into a Shinigami whose duty is to defeat "Hollows" (evil spirits), cleansing their souls and sending them to "Soul Society", the manga's version of afterlife.

A 2-D fighter for the Nintendo DS, Bleach 2nd: Kokui Hirameku Requiem puts players in control of one of the many popular Bleach characters. Players use the control pad to engage in fighting action against the computer or, using the DS's wi-fi connectivity, against human opponents. Battles can be one-on-one, but multiplayer modes allow up to four players to take each other on simultaneously. Power-ups are accessed via "cards" on the DS touchscreen, which the player touches to enhance their character's fighting prowess. The game progresses like a standard fighting game, with new challengers appearing to take on the player, but new to this title is a Mission Mode, which resembles an action game with battles versus large, oversized Hollows. Also, the character roster has been upgraded from the previous DS entry, with even more familiar characters from the popular manga and anime making appearances.
