Can't believe its been almost 20 years... but L'Arc~en~ciel is still going strong. Bless is their single release before they go on their usual hiatus, but this single is too gorgeous to just pass by as just another single. As usual, this song definitely has HYDE's touch with the high vocal peaks and octave rises/dips as well as an orchestra. The song truly has a heavenly feel and the message in the lyrics is nice to the ears. This is song is also rumored to be the theme for the NHK Vancover Olympics 2010. This is truly a band that just CAN'T disappoint. There is no lack of talent nor any lack of thought in any of their musical pieces and BLESS is truly like taking a breath of fresh air and leaves fans waiting in anticipation for when L'Arc~en~ciel will return together as one. |

Bless is a ballad written and composed by Hyde. It reminds me of Anemone and Hurry X'mas. Hyde is passionate in his singing as usual. The song is kind of sad and nostalgic, especially in the concerto version which has violin and piano in pure music. Route666-2010 is pure rock by Punk~en~Ciel (vocals by Tetsu, guitar by Hyde, bass by Yukihiro and drum by Ken.) If you are curious of Vamps' music, just listen to this track because it is composed by Hyde as well. The video is very good. It features each member walking up from the horizon as they are showered by some giant, pretty and partially translucent flower petals, similar to the ones on the CD cover. I'm a die-hard L'Arc~en~Ciel fan and no regrets of loving them because they are musically talented! |

19 Years And Still Strong!

Yup, you read that right. Count it yourself. 1991-2010 is 19 years. That's a pretty long time to be such an amazing Jrock artist, but theyre still holding strong in this single. Hyde sings beautifully and I just love the lyrics. If you don't already speak Japanese check into a posted translation somewhere. The second concerto track is kinda neat. I really like it, and the new version of Route 666 sounds great as well. I'm very pleased with this single. Only thing is, I found the PV to actually be a little overly dark. You can barely make out them or the rooms and such theyre in throughout most of it. Still, Extremely Highly Reccomended! Guys, You Rock, Literally! |
