Thanks to Blood of Good and Evil, Deric Wan and Maggie Shiu rose to fame quickly in the early 1990s. In the drama Deric Wan is Nam, a young man with a promising career in his step-father Ching's enterprise. A righteous cop has been after Ching for years because Ching makes money by all sorts of illegal means. Failed to arrest Ching, he succeeds in gathering evidence to put Nam into jail. However, only at this point he realizes Nam is actually his biological son! Maggie Shiu plays a charismatic girl Ming in Blood of Good and Evil who falls in love with Nam. Her father, however, has been in bad terms with Ching for years... The TV epic involves love-hate relationships among three families across two generations, and they have to make difficult choices one after another!

Best of TVB!
| This gotta be one of TVB's best shows in their entire history! It's that bloody good. Deric Wan's Chai Ho Nam will forever leave a remarkable spot in TVB's history. His portrayal of the complicated Ho Nam is not only semi-good/semi-evil, but classy, elegant and has that star presence on screen. And as for the other star Maggie Siu, she completely redefined beauty. Before BOGE, I never found any women looking that good in short hair and with a very strong personality. Enough said, just go grab the VCDs! It's actually UNCUT, isnt that amazing too. |

Good news - Finally an uncut TVB drama
| I first hesitated to buy this drama as I knew that ALL earlier TVB VCD dramas were edited with scenes cut out. Always loved this drama and had waited so long for it to come out. Finally it was released. Before purchasing, I confirmed and reconfirmed with the seller that this is an UNCUT version. So glad that the seller did not lie....I have just completed Part 1 of this drama, all scenes in place, all background music unchanged. Video transfer NOT seems to be digitally remastered, colours OK but images are a little dull. Well...the drama is slightly over 13 years old, they probably did not need to revise it like some older dramas. Anyway, as long as it is the same version as aired, I am satisfied. The only editing done was fitting all the original episodes onto 24 discs (12 x 2 box sets). In part 1, the title song appears once only on Disc#1. Will start on Part 2 soon. |

Bloody Great!

I have just finished watching Blood of Good and Evil (Part 1). It has been 9 years since. Now I can't wait for Part 2 to arrive. Unlike Part 1, Part 2 focused more on the main narrative and the intricate relationships between characters are starting to unfold. It takes a slighly more serious turn while Part 1 is laden with comic reliefs from Wu Fung. How will Ho Nam reacts when he finds out who his biological father was? Will Yee Ming be able to tolerate Ho Nam's relationship with his adopted father? How will Kiu Ching reacts when he is presented with the fact that blood is indeed thicker than water? Part 2 is jammed pack with stunning views of London, more fantastic 90s soundtrack. Also feature the fantastic collaboration between the late Anita Mui and Andy Hui. I can't bloody wait! |

One of the best TVB series of all time !
| This must be one of the best series ever produced by TVB. Excellent performance from all casts esp deric wan and maggie siu. Really good story and great sceneries in UK. After watching this series, i fell in love completely with both of teh main casts ! |

Fall in Love with BOGAE

This series captured my heart when I first watched it. You cant help but get immersed in the dialogue and the characters alike. There are moments of laughter, sadness, and memorable romance. I have yet to find another TVB pair comparable to Deric Wan and Maggie Siu. The soundtrack is so nicely integrated into the scenes (especially of London) that you will start to reminisce the late 1980s and early 1990s. You will fall in love with BOGAE. |
