Pros and Cons

This flick has it's pros and cons. I think Hugo Ng was a very convincing psychopath as Wong- VERY creepy (especially with those Dahmer style glasses)! He will scare the crap out of you, and you'll hate him! The acting didn't seem bad, but the whole movie appears to have been shot on video - boo! Add to that the often cheesy and misused music, and you have a porn film but without the porn. I must mention the fight scenes - they are a little hard to bear with that repetitive punch sound effect, it's kind of funny really. So overall, it's a pretty ghetto, low-budget film, but maybe Ng's acting carried it for me. |
