Professional Review of "BoA - Love & Honesty"

This professional review refers to LOVE & HONESTY (CD+DVD)(Limited Edition)(Japan Version)
BoA- K-pop & J-pop Queen Still in 2004

Having successfully conquered both of the K-pop and J-pop markets, BoA never slows down to impress her fans. Her brand new album “Love & Honesty” arrives before her tour in March 2003 to give us a treat first.

Before coming to the music, let's start with the BoA DVD coming with this special edition. The three music videos featuring are “Shine We Are!”, “Rock with You” and “NO.1”. Well, if you expect to find some bonus out of this bonus DVD, you are at the right place! Three different music videos display three different BoA styles. “Shine We Are!”, as its name tells you, illuminates the fame of this young pop queen in her trendy outfit. “Rock with You”, together with its amazing computer effects, brings you the rare clips of BoA playing martial arts. “NO.1”, just like what BoA always is, is full of energy. While these three songs can definitely be reviewed as of high quality, they however deliver the very similar (not exactly the same though) pop vibe and even dance moves offered by BoA on many of her previous smash hits. But of course these tracks are very likely to enter the songlist of her 2004 tour and the fans are also very likely to be thrilled by that.

Among the majority of dance beats, the ballad “SOME DAY ONE DAY” stirs up a sense of mystery featuring BoA's surprising high tones and VERBAL (from m-flo)'s vocal participation.

The theme track “Love & Honesty” touches your soul by the story of this Korean diva from the bottom of her heart. The R & B style is a perfect match with BoA's love and honesty.

The rest of this album is not a bad choice at all. You can dance your soul away along with the electronic music on “Midnight Parade” or shake your body together with the rhythm on “Be the one”. Or you can slow down, relax and enjoy an encouraging piece of music on “Expect”, which is full of dreams and anticipation or “Over~across the time” which features BoA's varied singing techniques with her fine and delicate voice.

Music and videos, plus BoA's trademark dimple on the cover, what more can you ask for?

Recommended Tracks: “Love & Honesty” & “OVER~across the time~”

BoA's vocals at her BEST! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
It's hard to decide which BoA album is my favorite because this one is so great......it is very sweet, innocent, and unexpectedly VOCALLY POWERING! BoA is a prodigy in music, I know she is!!! Her voice is truly remarkable indeed! (n_n) It's especially amazing in "Over ~Across The Time~"!! That's my most favorite track and probably my most favorite BoA song ever. "Easy To Be Hard" is my favorite upbeat song on the album. "Expect" also stands out!!!! "LOVE & HONESTY" and "A Song With No Name" are gorgeous gorgeous GORGEOUS ballads. The well-loved hits such as "Shine We Are", "Rock With You", and "DOUBLE" are included too among the other great tracks! I don't skip not one! The DVD is also nice to have. I already have the PVs on a different DVD, but I didn't have the making of footage or interviews. (^.^) Anyway! The PVs included are great though especially "NO.1"!

This is the best album I've ever heard from someone of her age at the time...well! That's an understatement. It's one of the best albums I've ever heard from any artist ever. I think it's required to own this album if you are a dedicated BoA fan...or just an avid Asian music fan! This album became a true classic.

her best album. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Forget Best of Soul. Forget MIT. Forget Outgrow. LOVE & HONESTY is BoA's best album. All of the songs are pefect; even the ballads. BoA put alot of work into this album, and it shows. This has always been my favorite BoA album simply because I love almost every song on it. It's a terrific introduction to BoA and her music. My favorite songs include "Be the One", "Love & Honesty", "Rock With You", "Shine We Are", "Expect", etc. Get this album if you want all of BoA's albums or just want a good and solid Jpop album.

Great album! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Love & Honesty is honestly one of my favourite albums. It's an album that you could listen too from start to finish because of it's fresh style. The songs are mainly of the pop genre, with few (actually only 1) ballad and many upbeat songs. Vocals are flawless throughout the album and a lot of the songs showcase BoA's beautiful and controlled voice.

Track 6 (Be The One) is a very catchy pop song. BoA adds a lot of attitude into the song, which makes it in your face, but in a good way. With it's catchy chorus, you can just see BoA dancing along, or you might see yourself dancing along. Great track with strong vocals from BoA. Track 10 (Double) is one of my favourite BoA tracks. Once again, BoA adds a lot of attitude into this dance song that it fits in perfectly with the music. The song itself is rather powerful and is rather interesting sounding with it's added effects in the background.

A great album, with great tracks by a great artist! Highly recommended for anyone, from fans to Jpop beginners. A majority of the tracks in this album are all very good and have attitude, though you can still find a few that give that poppish feeling that was found in her previous albums.

BoA Love & Honesty Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This album is awsome. The songs are just amazing. Rock With you is a Amazing song and I give BoA a thums up for making it the first song on the album. I like the idea BoA did a rock song and I think it really goes well with her voice. Shine We Are for some reason is my least favorite single from her and for some reason I like the music video better than the song. Someday One Day is a beautiful song. I really like it because it is really R&B and a little bit of hip hop in it with Verbal in it. And I really like when BoA does songs like that. Love & Honesty is a beautiful song and out of all the songs on the album I think Love & Honesty should deserves to have the name of the album. Midnight Parade is awsome. But the one thing I don't like about it is that you have to wait 20 seconds till the beat of the song comes on because I love this song so much I just want it to hurry up and play. Be The One was pretty cool and it reminds me of her song Listen To My Heart which is not on the album. Expect is awsome. Its my favorite non-single song on the album and it has a amazing beat and amasing lyrics to it. OVER~across the time~ is a song I fell in love with the first time I heard it. Kokoro no tegami is a good song but I just feel like somethings not right with it. DOUBLE which was the best song on the album was amazing. I wish someone would make a song like DOUBLE in America. Easy To Be Hard sound very much like a cute little kid song. Song with no name was good but I wish its lyrics were longer. The last song Milky Way was good but for some reason I really didn't like it.
