BoA의 첫 “ 컨셉 MAXI Single” [Vivid] 가 일본에서 2008년 6월 4일 발매에 이어 한국에서는 일주일 뒤인 11일에 한국 라이센스판으로 발매된다. 이번 BoA의 26번째 싱글 [Vivid] 는 드라마주제가, CM송이라는 대형 타이업 악곡을 수록시킨 컨셉 맥시싱글로서 CD ver.과 CD+DVD ver. 2버전으로 발매된다. CD수록곡으로는 모타운(Motown_강한 비트를 가진 리듬 앤드 블루스) 테이스트를 도입한 미들 POP「Kissing you」는 4월 10에 스타트한 TV 아사히계 드라마《7명의 여자 변호사》주제가로서 채택! 동시에 "music.jp TV-CF송"으로도 결정되었다. 업하우스 풍의「Sparkling」은 사카구치 켄지, 에비하라 유리가 출연하는 제스프리골드 CM송으로 결정! 다가오는 여름의 화사함과 어울리는 톡톡튀는 신나는 멜로디가 귓가에 맴도는 경쾌하고도 상큼한 곡이다. 맥시싱글인 만큼 여느때보다 풍부한 악곡을 선보이는 이번 싱글의 마지막곡은「Joyful Smile」로서 가슴 두근두근 거리는 R&B 발라드계의 곡이 수록 되어있다.

특별히 이번 CD버전의 초회 한정수량 판에는 「Vivid」자켓사진 촬영의 오프셧영상과 함께「Kissing you & Sparkling」 Music Clip Digest 의 엑스트라 영상이 포함되어 있어서 음악뿐 아닌 영상으로도 보아를 만날 수 있는 특별함을 더 했다. 또한 DVD버전에는「Kissing you」와「Sparkling」2곡의 PV를 수록. i dont like "kissing you as much as the other 2 but they are all good
wish all three tracks were on "BEST&USA"

I think kissing you, sparkling, and joyful smile are great.
I dont know why people dont like kissing you and sparkling (o_o)
They're really great songs but yeh i have to say joyful smile is better..
All the songs are really upbeat and happy and is a have to buy for all BoA fans (:
The dvd is great aswell. In my opinion the kissing you mv isnt that good? It couldve been way better but sparkling is very enjoyable to watch :D the making is really cute
Worth the money ;)

Kissing You and Sparkling is horrible, the song is like an overplayed, normal tune. It is not catchy in any way, and sounds like a boring song you'd here anywhere else.

Joyful Smile, however, saved the CD. This song is very catchy R&B style, and if you liked "My Way, Your Way" and "soundscape" you'll probably like this one too.

Well i won't say must have and i got 2 copies of the dvd/cd and 1 of the c.d. i personally like both videos,but the question i have been asking since last Nov. is what does BoA want (not her management ,BUT HER!!) also i did not see any extras???
The big bucks we are shelling out for the the dvd/c.d. and not even a photo book ,geez Thanx; Avex /SM...yeah i heard what her management said ,just like i hear all these idiots rioting about beef from the U.S./Both groups need to get a life!!!i love BoA, As a good person and artist ,but this material sounds like it came out 6 yrs.ago ..Note; the song titles are wrong also???? but yes all 6 are on my 360 hard drive.GamerTag ;BoA Rocks Asia......
Really folks ;what else does she need to accomplish in Japan,look at the audience avg. age in her Christmas concert, Duuh, thinking her music style would flow with all concerned, so hopefully some dance tunes and lots of Ballads, SKIP the Hip Hop,enough of that junk in the U.S. and Asia allready... But BoA still has what most of todays artists don't

 A Must-Have! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The super-talented Korean Pop sensation BoA brings out a new Japanese single with refreshing songs to sweeten our summer! 'Kissing you' is my favorite song, it's easy to listen to and a real evergreen. I give it an 8 out of 10 points. The music video... well, isn't that great, her hair and outfits are too old-fashioned and it's also a bit boring, but it's still worth to watch. 'Sparkling' is, in my opinion, a typical BoA song. It resembles nearly all her other songs which were written by Kazuhiro Hara. Anyway, you have to move your bodies to this song and I really like it, so it gets 7 points. Its music video is like a fashion show and sometimes very funny to watch. I don't like 'Joyful Smile' that much, it sounds boring but it fits the other two songs. This one gets 5 points.
I really love this single and I've bought the CD Only and the CD+DVD Versions. First Press releases come out with cool bonus materials so if you're a real BoA fan, you should buy this single! ^-^
