After five years away from Korean music, BoA is making her K-pop comeback with the new album Hurricane Venus, just in time for her tenth anniversary! Since releasing Girls on Top in 2005, the petite diva has focused her activities overseas, putting out four albums in Japan and dropping a US debut album in 2009. August 25, 2010 marks the tenth anniversary in the music business for the 23-year-old, who debuted at the tender age of 13 and grew up gracefully in the spotlight as one of Asia's top artists. BoA's long-awaited sixth album is packed with 11 new songs including GAME, a trendy dance pop number composed by hit songwriter and producer hitchhiker, and the emotional ballad "Person Next to Me" penned by Kim Dong Ryul.

이번 리패키지 앨범에는 기존 6집 수록곡들은 물론 신곡 2곡도 추가 수록, 총 13곡이 담겨 있어 한층 풍성해진 BoA의 음악 색깔과 매력을 느낄 수 있어 음악 팬들을 더욱 설레게 할 것으로 기대된다.

I love this album! I personally bought both Hurricane Venus and Copy & Paste and it is worth it! The pictures in this album are awesome! :) I think she is as cute and beautiful as ever. And the packaghing isn't the flimsy paperback that Shinee and F(x) fans were given with recent albums. So buy buy buy! |

I really wanted to buy the album when it first came out, but I knew that SM would do this to me, so I had to wait for the repackaged album, but it really is a great album, I was really surprised that I liked most of the songs. All of the songs are likeable, a good amount are loveable and there a few that are nice, but you'd skip them on your ipod. 01. COPY & PASTE - Second Title track, I love it. It's upbeat and has those beats that are great. 02. Hurricane Venus - First Title track, awesome. Mostly everyone knows it so... 03. DANGEROUS - Another upbeat tempo song with the similar style to C&P and HV but still catchy. One of the kind that could get remixed and played at a techno club. 04. I'm OK(보고 싶더라) - I really love this song. It's got the acoustic guitar and feel good music. Kinda makes you feel like you're taking a stroll in a park or riding a bike. Really nice. A personal favorite. 05. GAME - I think she has an MV for this. Pretty good. Not amazing, but pretty sweet beat. 06. 옆사람 (Stand By) - a nice ballad. 07. M.E.P(My Electonic Piano) - Nice song. If I had to compare it an artists style, it might be Leona Lewis, but not really. It's a song on middle ground, not like HV, but not a ballad. 08. LET ME - pretty good. Another more upbeat track, but doesnt really stand out in my opinion, but still good song. 09. 한별 (Implode) - favorite, favorite ballad. Really beautiful. Don't let the 6 minutes fool you, it needs all that time. 10. ADRENALINE - A hidden upbeat track. It's a really good track with great tempo, has a Britney feel to it sometimes (in a good way) and I rank it up there with HV and CP. 11. 하루하루 (Ordinary Day)- Nice track to listen to, but it also doesnt really stand out. I dont hate it, it's not bad, it's just average. 12. Don't Know What To Say - Another nice ballad, nothing like Implode, but nice. 13. 로망스 (Romance) - Pretty nice. It has that great 60s feel of the classic nice couple dinner with a girl in a white dress singing to a piano on stage, if you're into that stuff. You know, the kind with curled hair and pearls, you often see it in more romantic movies with candle light and whatnot. Favorites: HV, C&P, I'm OK, Implode, Adrenaline, Dangerous, Game. If I had to do it all over again, I'd buy the album, it really is great |

I already own "HURRICANE VENUS" and fell in love with this album by the first time listening to it. I was really happy when I heard that a repackage version of it would come out. I like the cover of "COPY & PASTE" much better than the one of "HURRICANE VENUS" but when I compare the two title tracks, I have to say that "HURRICANE VENUS" is much better than "COPY & PASTE". It's quite sad that the repackage album contains only 2 new tracks, I wish there would be about 4 more songs since it's BoA's comeback album and fans want to listen to more Korean songs of hers. "I'm OK(보고 싶더라)" is either very great... The reason why I still give this album 10 points is because of all the other great songs that are already included in "HURRICANE VENUS". If you didn't buy BoA's 6th Korean album yet, I'd still recommend to buy this repackage version since it contains more songs and the cover's the better one. If you already own "HURRICANE VENUS", please still buy this album to support BoA, hehe... All in all the album is really great, I'm quite disappointed of the 2 new songs ("COPY & PASTE" isn't that very bad but SM Entertainment could still have chosen a better title song for BoA) but it's worth listening to the other songs. BoA had a fabulous comeback in Korea! 보아 언니 파이팅! |
