YesAsia Editorial Description

Vanness Wu, a member of Taiwan's aristocratic boy group F4 kicks off his solo album "Body Will Sing." His theme song "My Friend" is already receiving heavy airplay. Adapted from "A farewell song" (Li Ko), this song is arranged with R&B style. Another song "Finding Juliet" is surely another hip-hop hit in this midsummer!

    I have mixed emotions about this cd. Since vanness is my favorite member of F4 i was super excited when this cd came out. Upon hearing it, some of the songs just didnt work for me. For example track 2. Finding my Juliet wasnt very catchy and the singing was pretty bad. I bearly can hear him sing not to mention i couldnt understand what he was saying. Then track 3 My Friend is a song worth listening to but the only problem is it kinda repeats itself and gets annoying after awhile. Track 7. sick and track 9. That girl arent that good either. It seems vanness had totally flopped at singing fast upbeat songs. But there are some good songs on this album. Like track 4. I hate myself, its soothing and the lyrics are touching. even my american friends like this song. Track 5. body can sing gives off a jazzy feel which goes well with vanness's voice. My favorite song on the album track. 6 is amazing, when i frst heard it the song gave me chills. The rap part of it really gets to me. Overall if you are an F4 and vanness fan this is worth buying.

    Vanness Wu's "Body Will Sing" CD+CD Extra is a good album with some nice dance and R&B tracks. I think his Mandarin pronunciation is okay. His singing technique is a little above average. The CD Extra can only be played on the computer, which features the Pepsi commercial and the music video for the Pepsi song. Good album to collect for any Vanness Wu and F4 fan.

     Very Promising...but lacks character Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
    No doubt about it, Wu can sing, and he's the most energetic among F4, performance-wise, but this album is a typical R & B/hiphop, with a bit commercialize taste, and the song lyrics arent that impressive. "Looking for Juliet" though, is a powerful song, complimenting Vanness' personality, but this is the only song that stands out from the others. The album lacks character & appeal. If you're an enthusiast for R&b/hiphop music, you would rather grab David Tao or Jay Chou's album ,rather than this. But, it's his first album, which makes it rather forgiving for Vaness. He is promising when it comes to music in F4 (along with Ken Chu), but we are looking forward to a more creative, versatile and distinct album in the near future. keep it up!

    This is only a taste of things to come. This being his first solo album shows the potential of great things to come. This album was not just what everyone wanted to hear(ballads). It was a combination of his talents and love for music. From his wonderful ballads to his sexy hip-hop. Giving us a yearning for more.

    Vanness, keep up the good work!! I'm looking forward to your 2nd album.
