Popular Taiwanese idol Jimmy Lin stars in Boxing Hero, a modern remake of the 1971 Shaw Brothers film Duel of Fists. Jimmy Lin is Lung, a Mainland boxing coach who journeys to Hong Kong in search of his mother and brother Fu (Terence Yin), who both left Lung years ago. Unfortunately, his mother is terminally ill, and Lung is too late to save her. But he can still help Fu, who's now a top Hong Kong boxer in deep trouble with the triads. They have Fu's girl (Marsha Yuan, the daughter of Cheng Pei Pei) captive, and are using her as leverage to force Fu to throw his fights. 　　Lung comes from a modern kung fu family and goes all the way to HK to search for his brother and mother who left him for years.
