January 23, 2007 Fun - double check stylus Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
While this game is very fun to play (constant cooking, chopping, frying, and cutting) the repetative movements did damage my DS Touch Screen. I will not go into depth about the gameplay, just know that the game is worth the $20 price tag that most stores are charging. It is addictive and very fun for all ages. My DS was only 4 mohths old when I purchased this game (mostly for the fact that it is played with the stylus). I had used it on two trips only for a total play time of about two weeks. The flipping motion, where you flip the contents of a frying pan like a professional chef left a vertical line about 1/2 of an inch in length in the center of my DS Touch screen. Ninteno will not replace the touch screen for free, they said that the warrenty does not cover normal use. I'm still unsure what is normal use, when an expensive device scratches from gameplay in less than 2 weeks of play time. This sounds like a faulty screen cover or stylus to me.

You might want to take out a brand new stylus as I found out the hard way that the tips actually wear down. Still don't let this review put you off the game play is really fun, and the recepies are real. My friend and I made dumplings by learning how from playing the game.

The game would have benefited from better control. Many times the game just doesn't do what the stylus just did. It can be frustrating, causing you to play to how the game was programed, while the game should have learned from users instead. Not everyone holds a stylus the same way, writes the same way, etc. The game also lacks a menu system to display unlocked recepies. This means that when you want to make something in real life, you have to go back and actually play. I'm sure the programmers didn't intend people to make the recepies found in the game, but they are real and if you can cook even just alittle the game will teach you how to make some great dishes.

October 11, 2005 Actually her 2nd English Album..... Good but Nothi Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
Sony what are you doing to this girls career? This album is the same as Crystal Kay – Natural (also a completely English spoken album) minus 2 tracks. We will have to wait until the November release to see if anything gets remixed, but I seriously doubt that because Epic didn't remix anything on CK5 or Natural. If you don't have a full collection of her singles you may not even realize that CK5, Natural and 4Real only contained a combined total of 5 new tracks between all three albums. C-Kay fans in the U.S. have been waiting for a stateside release, but to give us a re-release of Natural with fewer tracks isn't the way to go. Sure the price is North American, but the tracks on this album aren't enough to compete fully in the North American POP/R&B market place. Crystal Kay is marketed as more of an Indy POP star in Japan than a trend setter (a/k/a Britney spears, etc, etc…). She has natural beauty, the girl looks great in a T-Shirt, and a voice that could sing circles around American so called “POP” stars.

Crystal Kay has stepped it up on her recent album Crystal Style, by writing more of the tracks and essentially growing up mentally and emotionally. She has the talent, ability and vocal range to blow American audiences away. I have to wonder if she was given any say in this 'best of' North American release!

English fans who want to give Crystal Kay a listen would be better off picking up Almost Seventeen, Crystal Style, or CK5. If you really want this album, I urge you're to instead buy Natural, the last track alone (No More Blue Christmas) is worth the extra cash.

October 5, 2005 Excellent way to get into Crystal Kay Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I am one of those people that when it comes to something I like I have to get it all. I’ve been collecting Crystal Kay pics, cds, singles, and promo material as often as I can find it (which isn’t very often). When something like this DVD, containing 13 vids, an image gallery and a behind the scenes section, comes along you need to grab it quickly.
Crystal Kay is half black and half Korean, she sings in Japanese in her home country of Japan. Now most of you might know that, but for those of you who do not you’re really missing out on someone spectacular. Her style is all her, throw in some sex appeal, a perfect voice, and great beats and you’ll end up with a purchase that you will honestly truly enjoy! Pop just isn’t done like this in America, EVER! If your American you shouldn’t even consider this to be Pop music because Japanese pop is a completely different style that will appeal to your ears. Incase you are wondering I can not speak, read, or understand a single word of Japanese, but music is universal and Crystal Kay just pulls it all together. Now here is the kicker, I have listened to nothing but underground Indy record label hip-hop for the past 15 years, but Crystal Kay instantly appealed to my ears, mind, and sensibilities.

Pick up this DVD, give her a change she deserves it. Then come back and grab her earlier albums and singles before they go out of print. You won’t regret it!
