Beginning of the Best Band
|
Do As Infinity is my favorite band of all time, hands down. They are the No Doubt of Japan, but better! I just received the Limited Version of this album from a seller in Japan who had it for a reasonable price. This Limited Version has two bonus tracks: Chiryuku Yu-be and an acoustic version of Oasis. I think it's a fantastic and phenomenal start to a J-Pop legend. It may not have sold as well as their other albums, but it's still wonderful. My favorites are 'Oasis', 'Another', 'Heart', 'Raven', 'Painful', 'Tangerine Dream', and 'Yesterday and Today'. Not to say that the bonus tracks weren't good! They were great! I loved the acoustic version of Oasis! Acoustic versions always bring out the inner beauty of a song. Chiriyuku Yu-be is a song I am very lucky to hear. It's great! ^_^ |

One of the best!
| Okay, I'm going to get right to the point. Break Of Dawn is honestly the best album to start with for DAI. There is only one word to describe such an indescribable album: Eclectique... meaning eclectic and unique. Each song takes you through many different places and heights, whether it be the hip-hop feel of 'Painful', or the dark and moody 'Raven'. Break Of Dawn is a very exciting and satisfying album to listen to. I mean, anyone who can take you through so much is obviously a pure genius! 'Break Of Dawn' is a very mellow song associating a soft acoustic guitar. But the relaxed mood is soon relinquished once we get even a small taste of 'Standing On The Hill' and 'Oasis', which boasts a loud electric guitar riff. But once again, that goes away, too, once 'Another' is within earshot. This goes on until we get to the last song. 'Yesterday And Today' is a very soft, sophisticated song which uses violins and a classical guitar. Personally, this is the most beautiful song in the album. Van Tomiko's voice flows right through the violins and makes it sound perfect. This is an excellent ending to an excellent album. I recommend anyone who's reading this to get this album right now. It's worth the time and money invested! |

Do As Infinity all the way!
| This was the first DAI CD I got, and I must say, this album is very eclectic. Break Of Dawn, which is the title track of the album, is a bit slow and jazzy at the beginning, but turns more into rock at the chorus. Standing On The Hill sounds like something that Every Little Thing would perform, but this is more original. Oasis is an upbeat rock song with a great guitar. Another is a sweet pop melody, and with Tomiko's voice combined, it sounds terrific. Kokoro No Chizu is another awesome-sounding rock-ish song. Heart is certainly unique, but it has great guitar plucking and sitar-ish sounds. Raven is a very attractive song. The reason why I liked this song was probably because it has a dark and moody style. Welcome! boasts a great piano that goes great with Ryo's electric guitar. Painful is obviously different, with the rapping and all. But it's a good song nonetheless. Tangerine Dream is a pretty song with a nice acoustic guitar. Yesterday And Today is a very relaxing song with classical guitars and violins. Overall, this album is great! It might sound weird at first, but you will grow to appreciate it! Trust me! I loved every song! |

First DAI album
| I've loved Dai for awhile, but this is the first album I've bought. My favorites have to be BREAK OF DAWN, Heart, Raven, and Welcome!. I'm not to crazy about Kokoro no Chizu, though. That one has too many weird sounds. But, really, I recommend getting this album. It's a great debut album, plus it has two hidden tracks at the end. I think this CD was a great way to start off their career. |
